Imma have to start a thresd for all this. We’re horrifically off topic
Reframing is big. When you catch yourself saying things you don’t want in your life
I’m no good at this → actually I’m good at this
OR when something happens to you that could be perceived negatively…
spin the meaning of the incident to empower yourself
Woman turns you down
→ She’s just not ready for a guy like me
Thanks
I wonder if it leads to delusion and complacency
Wouldn’t it be more productive to reframe it in a way that suggests possible improvements through action; rather than simple “I’m good at this”?
Like “I’m not good at this” → “I’m in the process of learning; failure precedes success; if I do it enough times, I’ll get good at this”
Or that woman example: “what are the potential reasons for that? Bad looks/bad communication skills/etc? I can work on all of these and get even better women than that one anyway”
Thoughts?
You can do that
I was making it simple
