I honestly do whenever I feel like it, however long I feel like it. Be it 30 sec or 40 minutes
I’ve been applying this approach to all of my habits and it works perfectly, was able to start enjoying things I never enjoyed before
I’ve started doing it every morning for past couple days.
Coinciding with my Sanguine, Love bomb and AoH cycle starting.
I think everyone should have atleast one cycle every 5-6 cycles where they run a similar stack along with TRE/somatic exercises or other similar modalities.
It does sound very gentle, but i cannot stop the meaty hard hitting ones progress for this.

Is it ok to tremor while doing something else such as going on your phone?
I seem to be able to do it but don’t know if it cuts efficiency
I tried doing that last week, I just feel like it was not too good. Once my focus was not on the tremors it slowly stopped
Ok, thanks for the Insight. Will prob not use phone next time
Need full surrendering for tremors. It’s ok to use podcasts and stuff like that though, it seems. So that you can just listen, without actually being on the phone or sitting
Got you, thanks
No.
Release/processing in bodywork is a result of the movement/tremors, breathing, and most importantly, your conscious awareness.
Just to add to this for others.
In bioenergetic/bodywork therapies, the brain is considered the organ of repression. It’s job is to keep you safe, according to what it has learned at a young age is safe/dangerous.
With bodywork, those repressed ‘dangerous’ feelings can surface, in order to be processed.
The role of your consciousness now is to accept, breathe into, and feel those feelings as they arise, so that they may integrate and/or dissipate healthily.
Consciously resisting, or distracting yourself, numbing yourself out etc. only reinforces the repressing and blocks the integration and healing.
So… breathe and feel, breathe and feel
JAnon is right.
Distracting yourself is a form of avoidance / dissociation, which I.M.O. is the exact opposite of what you are trying to achieve with TRE.
@JAnon and @antonioromero I think you two are wrong
The truth is that neurogenic tremors, as they are called, don’t even need a brain. They are an inherent property of the spine which is part of the central nervous system. If you put conscious awareness into this, you might just prolong the process of full release of the traumas
Your body knows better than you, full surrendering is the optimal route in TRE. And surrendering is easier if you distract your mind. David Berceli, the creator of TRE, even recommended watching a comedy during the session
Interesting observations, maybe we can field test and report back here? Or if it’s been field tested already, we should share here
For me, I am not in the mood to focus on anything else, when I’m shaking like crazy.
I do get bored after the first few minutes. But i just stick with it
Maybe you can try doing something else during your tre session today.
I will also try to watch a podcast or soemthin
Did not know Bercelli had ever said that. Sounds surprising.
I took some sessions with an official TRE provide and she was adamant about not disociating during sessions.
Me neither, It would be interesting to have a quote of him saying it.
Similar experience here… Not controlling the experience, but observing it. aware of your body and how it responds.
For me its like an experiment, I don’t particularly Care if you’re supposed to listen to videos or not
So, I listened to Videos on headphone during TRE today,
As long as I don’t use my hands to scroll through the phone, And just listening through headphones. It did not affect me much.
The session went smoothly for 30 minutes. I even almost fell asleep after that.
The last time I tried to scroll through the phone with my hand maybe that’s why my session ended quickly.
I would encourage the others to experiment for themselves and come to their own conclusions. No matter what anyone says.
I guess I never thought of it. I have tried to actively release as I would do TRE. But it just wasn’t something that resonated.
I finally did a session two nights ago. I tried to meditate I think and then I decided to just do connected breathing. Where it’s just like circular, no pauses between breaths it’s just one smooth continuous cycle. I really like that. Just normal paced breathing and watching the breath.
I also use this thing called a sacro-wedgy and stillpoint inducer. The sacro wedgy goes under the sacrum. It kind of elevates it and the idea is that it’s for back pain relief via releasing the psoas muscles. And the still point inducer is like this little headrest that goes on your suboccipital muscles. So between the two they say it’s also like a very light traction for the spine. Like craniosacral therapy or something. Between the two I just lay on those and after a few minutes I end up getting the TRE for like 20 mins. That’s how long of sessions I do. For me it doubles as potential back pain relief while I’m getting the TRE.
Seems like TRE is THE thing to combine with subliminals
