I beg to disagree.
Everything you look at is a projection of your own subconscious. Every action you take, every thought is an externalization of the subconscious mind.
Even when I look at someone else, I am not seeing an objective truth, but merely my perception of what appears to be “objective,” as defined by my subconscious impulses. Case in point, how I can find a woman incredibly beautiful and you might believe she is hideous and she might think that she is just “normal.”
Who is right? What objective standard exists to say what is beautiful? The only truth that a person can definitively claim is “I exist,” and even that is questionable according to many ancient spiritual traditions, once you start considering how to define “existence.”
This mirror exercise seems to be a method of causing deep subconscious fears to emerge through force by staring at yourself until you have no other choice but to face what’s hidden inside. In other words, you are looking at a projection of your subconscious. When another person is looking at your reflection, they will literally see something different than you.
There is really no need for exercises like this if you are running NSE, since it helps you manifest daily positive occurrences that help shape your life toward what you want the most. Thus, there is no need to force the “revelation of the subconscious,” through this. That’s the reason why you need spiritual protection to even try it, because you are attempting to unveil dark energies within you (since that’s the physical nature of thought — energy) in a fast manner rather than a slow methodical unfolding of what’s within where you can then neutralize any deep internal darkness or negativity before it can completely emerge.
Obviously, everyone — I’m not suggesting that nothing is “real” and you should go out acting like that. What I am suggesting is that you question how you think about things and make that an actual daily thing. See how quick your life changes when you do. This the whole reason why we push taking action. The experiences that arise from it becomes the mirror in such your subconscious is projected. Treat every one of them like a lesson from yourself and genuinely try to learn from them and watch how quickly you begin to change.
