People say ”wanting to switch subs is a tell-tale sign of recon”.

But I say ”recon is a tell-tale sign you need to stick to it for a year.”

It ain’t easy. But it means you’re actually growing. Like sore muscles. This is what you wanted!? Growth!? Mastery?! Self- development?!

Face it courageously.

But… perhaps you don’t really want it. Perhaps you think growth and evolution should be painless? Nothing that grows is painless. Something you’ll realise after having kids and seeing the pain of growth. (Oh and birth! Literally the most beautiful and horrible thing at the same time lol)

Going round and round in the same place is easier. It actually looks fun too .

But I personally have had enough and want to go to the moon.

But really, if you wonder what you should do, what subs to switch to, there’s your answer. It’s recon and it’s telling you to stay on the stack for a year.

I must admit that I’m bad at handling, facing and processing recon, but I’m getting better. Most importantly, I’m not switching subs.

I would love a Revelation Of Recon title

Recon is the anxiety and discomfort that is the the most important, or one of, catalyst of growth and deep change, if processed correctly. It’s the core of subliminal usage, it’s part of the effect that causes the results and growth.

Imagine the revelations during that very important experience of recon.

Unveiling the action and reflection that must take place.

Some say they want too much, so they use more than the recommended number of cores or subs in a stack.

But I say they want too little.

Some say they are too impatient to follow guidelines. Too impatient for proper washouts or even extended washouts.

But I say they are too patient.

Some say they don’t know what they want, so they switch stacks every week.

But I say they know exactly what they want.

You’re making it harder, getting less and making the process take longer.

You’re a very patient and frugal man, who desires nothing. Good for you! You got what you wanted.

I’m currently working on my tech skills and this stack is awesome for that. Some leadership aspects also come from Emperor. But I’m mainly running that for masculinity, fitness, personal power and confidence. Just an overall good subliminal that hits career and personal development on many planes.

Limitless because learning tech, but also software craftsmanship and processes other than just coding.

Of course, Index Gate. For the code wizardry.

But once I feel I’ve had enough development and reached my current subgoals I’ll definitely be running EoG at some point. Revelation of wealth also. I had a great run with RoM back in the days, so excited to try another revelation title.

But that will come. My goals are long term. Real.

Got the go ahead to be an ambassador for the company in a tech conference. Which is epic and scary, because it’s new. But that’s where growth happen. I will not let discomfort stop me.

I’m supposed to write an article, hold a presentation and workshop after, sharing what I’ve learned. All of these things are also outside my comfort zone.

I’m just going to take action like a madman. At this duration of my stack I’m thinking I need to take more action. So be it.

Step 1: Opportunity that is scary comes up
Step 2: Anxiety/Fear emerges
Step 3: Say yes, and do it anyway
Step 4: Resilience, growth and confidence happens

I sometimes delude myself I’ll feel confident first then do it. But that’s sadly not how things works.

Got really great feedback on our yearly feedback review. I also know an area in tech I’m weaker in: security.

Luckily I know a guy who runs a closed community for security and he just invited me into their group and I’m planning to not only learn, but master cyber security.

Lately I’ve been getting dreams again, or at least remember dreaming, and I think it’s because of me taking more action and forcing myself to be present and face the recon instead of escaping. I really think it’s important. Because even though we say we want change, we might subconsciously resist it because of fear and discomfort. Gotta stay present and face it, but most importantly take action in spite of recon.

Recon is a complex subject, but what if it’s also a way for the fearful you, complacent you, to hold you back? Like, if you don’t take action while in recon then how will you grow and move forward?

For example it’s like being afraid of being awkward while socialising, but to stop being awkward you need to get the experience. Which you get by socialising.

Will you just accept to be stuck or take direct action? Will you try to find workarounds and tricks and cheap hacks or actually go through with it and get real deep growth?

”Oh I’m just going to heal first, then take action…”

How about doing both?

Giving feedback, something new, a expansion. Expansions can be scary and cause fear and anxiety. I choose to expand, fearless expansion. Courageous action. It’s my nature. It’s nature. It’s life. Its existence.

They say the universe is constantly expanding. Why shouldn’t you?

I fear. But I’m going to do it anyway. Because I don’t believe someone should fear their nature.

I didn’t grow up with my father, but ask anyone who knew him and they’ll tell you he was the life of the party. He ran an international chain of nightclubs and was known for cross-dressing, stripping, and surprising friends by turning up on a camel. And you know what? He never drank.

The reason (likely apocryphal) was that he once got so drunk in college that he fell out a window with his pants off. Who cares if it really happened? For the next seven decades, he stayed sober. He never concealed it, never apologized, never made excuses. He just ordered a ginger ale and got on with the night.

Also, excited for the name embedded majors. Excited to find out how my run will evolve and how the recon will be like in the next cycle, which will be my 7th cycle of this stack. Probably the longest I’ve run a stack, so I have a pretty good feel for the recon and will notice changes, even subtle ones.

Lately, I also feel like my flow factor have improved, probably because I take more action and believe/trust more in process.

Consistency with subs it’s important for many reasons. For example to understand how recon affects you. How blockages show up. How nudges from the subconscious emerge to point you in the right direction.

How will you understand this if you switch subs every week? You’re getting hit by different scripts, different nudges, different recon, it’s a mess. Too many factors to keep track of, to make sense of.

Different blocks or success ceilings show up differently. Different ways you self-sabotage or rationalise out of fear, anxiety and discomfort.

But once you’re consistent, you start to see patterns and you start to trust the process even more, you notice changes and most importantly take more focused action. Things become easier and clearer. It becomes a snowball effect. It becomes a upward spiral.

Todays question, how do you define success?

What’s your goal? What’s your dream? How do you define success?

List a bunch of stuff. For example I might define success as salary. I know this because when someone in my career path earns twice as much, I might think they are more successful than me.

That’s one stuff. Then I question it. Analyze it. Counter it.

For example this dude after university got the sickest salary. It was a couple K’s higher than mine. Not insanely much. But still, highest entry salary I’ve seen. I got jealous, then I find out he works 60 hour work weeks for that. While I work 40 hours. Is salary really success to me?

Let’s not stop there, he also learned alot more, simply because he had to work that much, he probably got insane projects. He was also growing in resilience. Learning to deal with pressure. He did his dog years, while I was cozy. Too cozy. Is this still success? I don’t know, but now it’s alot more complex than just salary. It’s more nuanced.

Salary by itself can’t define career success. We’re making progress now.

And so on.
