Why is no PMO important to you?
I’m going to try to distill a concept that will hopefully make sense to you. Behind every single action and habit you have is a belief that it is justified. People that indulge in impulsive or self-destructive behaviors often do so as a way to regain control of their life, because they feel that for whatever reason, they are not in enough control already. This may then coincide with an early childhood memory of either being, or seeing someone hurt as a result of this lack of control. The impulsive behavior then acts as a shield to protect them from ever being in that position.
Similar logic applies to almost any other behavior, even positive ones. Being disciplined acts as a way to protect oneself from the consequences of being undisciplined that they have experienced before.
From here, let’s apply it to your situation. You have a habit of PMO. Why? What does it provide you? What does its lack cause you to feel? If you think about the answers to those questions, you may begin to find the real reason you struggle to stop that habit. Once you have that reason, you now have a catalogue of 100+ subliminals that can help you tackle that specific concept.
Generally speaking, every behavior we have exists because we perceived a “cause and effect” relation when we were younger. So when you want something, you begin to unconsciously look for times in your life when you had that thing, and then isolate what preceded that thing to be the cause. If you then define a personality to be the most common set of behaviors you possess, you could then interpret this to mean that your entire personality is the result of these cause-effect relationships.
So, for any behavior at all, the first question you should be asking is why. Figure out what that thing provides you, and why it matters to you so much.
This seems like less of subliminal advice at first, but if you take it to heart, you’ll begin to see just how important it is to your subliminal growth.
