What scent do you wear? - Perfume Thread

These subliminals are strange. In a good way.

STRANGER THINGS TUNE PLAYS

Too a trip to the high end perfume store today, and had the pleasure of smelling a scent called Nuit de Bakélite by Naomi Goodsir. Not sure if I would buy it but it is definitely the most incredibly unique smell I have ever tried, it is a wild ride.

Not sure why I’m only discovering this thread now.
I’ll share some of mine.

Since I’m running Wanted I’ll share an unique one: Side effect - Initio. Rum, Cinnamon, vanilla, tobacco, dark cherry and a hint of leather.

Side effects include: Extreme confidence and sex appeal. This scent is for the sexy man who know he’s hot, he’s mysterious and he knows he doesn’t need to chase.

Seriously when I wear this it turns heads. People are intrigued and want to get to know me. Both men and women. And idk what it is about this but it just makes me feel sexy and confident asf. It’s a total cheat code for me. Ditch eros and wear this to the club. It will cut through all those ambroxan Bomb frags and you will definitely get noticed.

I gave away a lot of frags recently because I had too many. I sometimes just use them as air fresheners around the house. On sheets and shit, lmao. Am I the only one who does that?

A lot of Sauvage in here as expected, lol.

I like Luna Rossa Carbon a lot, it’s like Sauvage but fresher, smoother, easier going and more versatile.

I go for Prada mostly, pretty much anything in their line up works for me. I’ll also wear cedar and other earthy scents that aren’t too sweet.

I’m a smoker, so I gotta pick scents that work with tobacco and my natural scent.

Love Dior Sauvage, just doesn’t work for me–smells pretty bad when mixed with cigarettes. It’s also too sweet and my natural scent is a little sweet so it’s just too damn much.

Prada though? Oh boy, it’s a winner.

I honestly know nothing about cologne or whatever. Where does a guy learn so he can smell good? Older guy of 55.

I learned a lot from basenotes.com

I feel like the best place to start is to go to a store with perfumes, and have the person working go through some scents with you. Typically what occurs is that they’re going to ask you what you’re looking for in terms of use (daily wear, office, gym, dates) and spray scents so that you can smell them and see what you like and don’t like.

Anything you do like you can ask for them to spray directly on your skin (instead of the paper tester) so that you can smell the scent properly, as it will alter the smell to your body, skin and natural scent. If you like something, you buy it.

Don’t bother giving a shit about notes, sillage, projection and all that crap. Just pick something where you like the smell and you can afford the price, and take it from there.

Just grabbed Rasasi Hawas. Cheap, smells amazing, perfect aquatic fragrance for summer and has beast mode performance.

Used to wear versace, chanel bleu,

Axe Body Spray, don’t need to overcomplicate.
