For me it’s best to understand listening to subs as a helpful nudge, a friend broadly waving in the right direction you should move to. You don’t need more than one pointing to start moving.
It probably makes sense to recategorize recon and listening time a bit. I didn’t have recon the last couple of listening days, but my head was “full”, a lot of processing going on. I always assumed processing is good, something is going on “under the hood”, but as the nudge is meant to get you going, to give you momentum now, I want to reconsider. (One might differentiate here: For healing subs or the Revelation series this might well be the case.) After some consideration, I would broadly sort it like this:
With increasing subliminal input:
- No subliminal input
- A bit subliminal input (too little for tangible effect)
- Subliminal input (tangible effect)
- Sweet Spot (maximum tangible effect, next to no processing felt)
- Subliminal input (tangible effect, tangible processing (starting to clog up the subconscious queue)
- Too much Subliminal Input (more tangible processing, diminishing acute effects)
- Too much subliminal input (tangible processing, overload)
- Too much Subliminal Input (recon, headache, bad moods)
The Sweet Spots for the 3 subs:
The Sudden Lighting of Nishiki Kamuro: 1:20 min., raised by 10 sec. every listening. Feels like close to the sweet spot.
A. Very Special Sauce: 3-5 min. 4 minutes in a 2 subs stack was great, 6 minutes in a 3 subs stack was too much. Will probably go with 3:30 min. next time.
Shapes v3: 6 min. in a 2 subs stack so far the strongest effect. 10 min. was probably already level 4.-5.
(I will include the input levels in the daily logs.)
