What’s everyone’s thoughts on this fake ass fight?
My prediction: Not sure, it’s probably scripted and I’ll be spending that time paying attention to various news sources to see what we’re really being distracted from.

I hope Mike Tyson takes it seriously, ignores the contract, and kills him.
Man, I really want Mike Tyson to punch straight through that jackass. But, you do speak wisdom, could be a distraction tactic
If Tyson takes a dive I’ll be so upset. I’ve watched the training videos of Paul. He thinks he’s slicker than he actually is and I am hoping his overconfidence has him eating a mean hook from Tyson.
While I do think this is at least semi-scripted, I’m Team Tyson as well. I’ve never even watched a Jake Paul video, but something about him rubs me the wrong way.
I think it’s because I boxed and fought as a martial artist for like 15 years and out an incredible amount of work in, and it feels like he’s just taking a short cut by participating in what’s essentially meme fights and then demanding to be taken seriously.
This.
After joining martial arts classes by yours and Fire’s advice, I can clearly see it is a discipline of patience and resilience (gels well with emperor) and developed immense respect for people who have done it for years like you and Fire.
When a joker like Jake Paul comes up and starts acting cocky after doing just 3 years and that too in front of Mike Tyson - man, it really does piss me off. Either the guy is a clear fool (which is possible, given his past actions) or just clever marketer.
Hope Tyson shows him what real boxing is and knocks him out round 2. Round 1 might be the scripted, feel each other out, mocking, showboating etc.
But you’re right its a farce of a fight that Tyson shouldnt really have gotten involved in but its 2024…
I think Tyson will get paid to loose, and he’ll take a hit and also the money.
I also hope I’m wrong.
I was thinking the same thing last night.
He did say recently that ‘legacy means nothing’ or something to that effect.
Could just be him warning us in advance as to what will happen.
Again, hope I’m wrong. Lol.
Hoping it’s not a total set up as @SaintSovereign pointed out.
On the off chance it isn’t completely scripted, it’s interesting to watch carefully the slap Mike Tyson gave Jake Paul - watch it in 0.25 speed and note the speed of reaction. I suspect that was a planned reflex check.
And he definitely failed it.
Maybe Tyson’s instincts will take over. If so Paul will regret this.
I’d love to ask Vince McMahon how he’d book this.
Edit. Wtf, omg and other assorted 3 letter things. Any truth to the 40 million pay day? For a meme fight?
I am in the wrong business.
hahahahhahahaa
That would be fun ngl
I’m just waiting for the script to go wild. I want to see Mikes tiger return somehow after all these years and jump into the cage mid battle to fight with him and then Jake paul using a dead body of a referee as a flesh shield or something symbolic like that. Then they both make a collab video about it a week later where they will eat gummy candy in shape of ears and the video will be called “apologies to the referees fam” and they also show off a new bugatti at the end that one of them bought for the money. Maybe make Elon Musk show up right before it ends just to make it complete.
Yeah, saw that interview. They’re also estimating that the prize purse for Tyson is something like $30 million. Would he, at that age, take a fall for $30 mil, especially after stating that he really doesn’t care about legacy?
I don’t believe it’s scripted and I think Mike Tyson will tear him apart.
Well, looking at his current net worth (estimated to be at $10 million), taking the fall for $30million, (prob 15 million after tax) would more than double his net worth.
At his age and this stage of fighting career, I think there’s a fair chance he would take the fall, as he’s unlikely to be looking for another fight after this to increase the size of his pockets. This is likely his final large payday in boxing.
That’s not counting any money that may be transferred to an overseas trust he (or his family members) may be a beneficiary of in a tax haven with high secrecy laws like the Cook Islands for losing the fight (this is a big speculation, but I suspect this does happen sometimes).
I guess we’ll have to wait and see
I don’t have Netflix since tiger man got canceled. I remember years ago this is the exact type of thing that would have been blogged.
Does anything like that still exist. I’m curious but not curious enough to sign up.
Tyson’s not looking good.
