Back down today… 78.2 kg / 172.4 lbs… my wife is out at the moment and the scale syncs to her phone, so I don’t have other metrics yet, but I’ll update when I do.
I think for every gram of carbohydrate, 3 grams of water gets retained.
Remind me to not weigh tomorrow then lol; tonight is my actual planned cheat meal and I’m making a big pot of chili. Totally low-carb… except for the 2 cans of kidney beans and half a bottle of some sweet & spicy bbq sauce…
Have you checked out the Primal Kitchen brand? They have lower carb BBQ sauce, and some of their dressings are amazing!
Quite a few of the sauces in my fridge are Primal Kitchen. I’ve actually met Mark Sisson at a conference, and we chatted for a few mins, he’s honestly a super cool guy.
This could be a name of a new title. Imagine a major title called Primal Kitchen
I ran out of my supply of Tesofensine, after dropping down to a half dose, then a half dose every other day… I definitely do better on the days when I take it, both in terms of energy (and lack of hunger) and mood…
As far as mood, it’s basically (disclaimer: very very non-professional statement here!) like a more effective and faster-acting version of Wellbutrin… and I evidently have a methyl/folate ratio that is suitable to positive benefits from serotonin boosts (whew… I took a bit of a chance there, for some people boosting serotonin has a very nasty effect) so I feel good on it.
I haven’t weighed in a few days now as I’ve slacked a bit… had some cereal 2 nights ago and then sushi and some yogurt & berries for dinner last night… but…
Going by looks alone, I have much more muscle definition in my arms, my shoulders are so sharply 90* that I feel I could use them in my shop instead of a speed square (lol) and except for a little poochy bit below my belly button, my lower abdomen is flat and hard (with abs even a little bit flexed).
Quite a change from how “rounded” I was even last summer.
More Tesofensine is on the way as of this morning… when that’s done, or my bday arrives, whichever happens to come first (it’ll be within a day, so it comes down to the shipping speed of this order!) I’ll be into muscle-building mode and not cutting mode… I look forward to that lol.
78.15 kg / 172.3 lbs
13.1% body fat
21.9 BMI
11.5% subcutaneous fat
5% visceral
Not a huge change… but inching in the right direction. I’m at the point where I definitely need to focus more on adding exercise… and once my next shipment of Tesofensine arrives I believe it will pick up again. I’m down to a half dose every other day to stretch it out, but I’ll be back to a full dose every day in another few days.
Have you tried the Bio-tuner by SOTA?
I haven’t heard of that one before, but a quick scan of the website suggests it’s a device very similar to the Alpha-Stim device from the early 1990s, with the Schumann frequency specifically for the alpha range. That should be pretty effective for creating a relaxed state.
Similar is some ways, different in others.
It has a choice of 2 different AC frequencies, and 3 different modulations, for a total of 6 settings.
The prototype was designed by Dr. Bob Beck who compared a number of such devices from Europe, Asian, and Russia. I truly believe the Bio-tuner is the top of the line device.
Also I think at one point the Alpha-stim was connected to the ankles, whereas the Bio-tuner connects to the ear lobes or acupoints behind the ears.
77.85 kg / 171.6 lbs
13% total body fat
21.8 BMI
11.7% subcutaneous (this went up??!)
4% visceral (for context, it was 12% when I started… )
I’ll say this… dropping this much fat is like getting a free bonus ME sub as a side effect.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m 100% procrastinating at the moment because I’m having a technologically-challenging day work-wise… I’m in the “messy middle” of a device hardware design and it’s making my head spin… so, obviously, I’m looking at the q shop and planning a (still future) custom for my post-EF run.
I’ve shared this album art and concept before, but I’ve yet to build it. Here’s the current iteration of what it would be if I built it right now:
The goal is simple… a healthy, fit, body. This won’t be replacing any of my supplements (except tesofensine, which I shouldn’t need to keep using…) but instead would be the scripting counterpart to the chemistry side of things.
Without further ado, here is the current draft of Extremis:
CORES:
- Paragon Complete Core - healing is a big part of health…
- Legacy of the Spartan Core - the goal is a ripped, and fit body…
- Emperor Fitness ST4 Core - same as above, is this redundant now?
MODULES:
- Lion IV - This mindset is what I’ve always wanted/needed, so it goes in, despite not being health-oriented
- Iron Frame - same as Lion IV
- The Aligner - posture is important, and I tend to slouch… I’m 6’3", I should own that.
- SPS: Muscular System - long-term muscle health/growth/maintenance
- SPS: Fat Burn - keep that fat off, even when I’m not eating in a deficit, or want some pizza…
- A/SPS: Organs - long-term health
- Serum X - health & recovery
- Inexhaustible - I’ll be 43 soon, no such thing as too much energy.
- The Architect - same reason as Inexhaustible
- Heracles - strength is important
- Harmonic Singularity - but so is relaxation…
- Epigenetics & DNA Modulator - longevity & health
- Asclepius - is this needed with Paragon core?
- Apollon - is this needed with LotS core?
- Equilibrium - balance and grace are important too.
This is 100% just a thought exercise at the moment, but I welcome any and all comments, suggestions, etc of course!
I think Master’s Coordination could go well with Equilibrium.
Bumping this back up in case anyone else has any more comments or thoughts on the next custom, but I do have an update… a rather crazy one.
Early spring is stubbornly hanging on here, so some nights are still a bit chilly. We’re still wearing hoodies and my wife likes to wear an old polar fleece vest that I’ve had since I worked for an IT department many years ago that only had 2 settings on the thermostat… stifling and sub-zero… but I digress.
She was wearing my vest, and I jokingly said maybe since I’ve lost so much weight, I’ll wear yours.
Mine is a men’s, L or XL… I forget… but hers? Women’s, size small.
So I put it on as a joke, but my jaw dropped as I fit it over my shoulders (tight, but doable), and zipped it all the way up.
IT FIT.
I looked ridiculous and about as un-masculine as I could be, what with it being a tight-fitting (on me) women’s vest (at least it was black…) but I didn’t care.
I’m also aware that I just posted on the internet that I tried on some of my wife’s clothing and was happy about it, but the point is… it f***ing fit. That’s the point, and it is NUTS.
p.s. I had it on just long enough to take a selfie to prove it fit, then my daughter claimed it back because she wanted to be “vest buddies” with mommy, and I was happy to oblige.
77.35kg / 170.5 lbs
12.9% total body fat
21.7 BMI
11.6% subcutaneous
4% visceral
did you make this already?
Not yet, I’m looking at this as a long-term health custom, with many more things than I’m focusing on right now… I have at least another 15-18lbs of fat to drop, and then my aim will be adding about that much muscle… I know there are ways to do both simultaneously, but it feels more difficult to drop fat (ie be in a deficit) while also eating enough to build muscle… so while it feels a bit inefficient in terms of time, for me, I’m doing a more traditional cutting process which will be followed by a lean bulk stage.
…assuming my not-yet-caffeinated-today brain can do math right lol. That feels like a lot… I’m not sure that’s right.
