I heard they put on a phenomenal show and their composition and sound design is so good that it translates really well. I would love to see them live.

Lol same. I didn’t even grow up in that decade to appreciate it as an adult so I know it’s not nostalgia. But also any electronic music made during that time. Atmospheric drum and bass from that time period gets me every time.

I’m not saying artists nowadays aren’t good. But something about the 90s really captures the creative spirit of music to the core. The exploration and authenticity vs just trying to grab the spotlight.

Not labeling Deftones as shoegaze either, but they have quite a few “shoegaze-y” songs, and were clearly heavily influenced by shoegaze.

Look at the song I posted for example, it wouldn’t sound out of place in My Bloody Valentine’s discography, if they were a little more metal and a little less pop.

I was a big fan of Deftones which then lead me to The Cure (their biggest influence) before I learned of My Bloody Valentine. Around The Fur!! I can lose myself in their washes of reverb.

Question, Is it only me or since I started doing subs there’s always a background tune track playing in my head. All types of music.I am happy and fine with it, but curious if others have this too.

This is not a good sign. Its a sign of overload. You can try to reduce the loops or maybe add more rest days until its gone. I know those songs very well but i didnt liked the music in my head on autopilot. :smiley:
