I should record.
Background:
For the last 2 (?) months, approximately, I’ve noticed some degradation and disruption of my sleep quality and routines.
I found that my sleep transitioned into a fairly stark bimodal pattern. I’d fall asleep, wake up after after 3 to 4 hours (approximately 1 sleep cycle), and then sometimes not return to sleep after that. So the day was begun in sleep debt, and there were often spaces of fatigue during the day. Because of work, i would just push it to the side, and get through it. Then often, by the time I laid down again at night, I would finally feel awake again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Obviously, that last paragraph was about 5 sentences, so I have not exhaustively described every relevant detail of my daily routine, sleep hygiene, and relevant biological/behavioral/nutritional factors. It’s a summary.
And the process has not been linear. Some days/nights were a bit better and some were a bit worse. But the above-described pattern was more or less the average baseline during the past one or two months.
I tried a bunch of things, and some helped (or seemed to help) somewhat.
Intervention:
On Monday 20 April 2026, my ZPQ Name-Embedded Major Program Hybrid arrived: Summertime + Paragon Sleep. SUMMER Sleep.
I waited until around bedtime, around 12:45 AM that night, then I played 0:16 of SUMMER Sleep.
Initial Result
I fell asleep pretty smoothly. (Was pretty tired). And I slept through until 5:45 AM or 6:15 AM. That was already somewhat of an improvement. But then after I came back from the bathroom, I fell back asleep. I slept until 8:30 AM (which I could do that day). But the most amazing part:
I woke feeling rested.
That was the new part.
I felt rested. There were not the sensations of sleep debt/sleep fatigue.
So, to me, that’s amazing. I’m playing SUMMER Sleep every 4 days (since it’s the third program in my stack now). So I’ll get the chance to try 30 seconds on Friday 24 April.
And we’ll see how things develop from this point.
ADDED:
I should note, additionally, that I woke today Wednesday 22 April again feeling more rested than usual. So continued effects on Day 2.
I’d been experiencing tightness in the left lower leg after leg presses on Sunday evening. Getting higher-quality sleep has helped my recovery and regrowth process post-resistance training.
