That is awesome. When you mentioned the story about the young conservative and his young kids ambushing him with love, I’m like you, that kind of stuff puts me in tears. Happy tears and sad at the same time.
Honestly, when you talk about your Mom, it always pulls my heartstrings and I feel your pain. Mine is different in that my Mom was never an alcoholic or drug addict, but everything else was very identical.
I’ve struggled big time over the years because I never had a good father figure in my life (tons of abuse) and my Mother was always angry and never available. I saw glimpses of somewhat healthy families and I loved seeing it, but I hurt also and tend to fall into the victim mentality. I’ve learned that all families have issues, some worse than others, or just different issues.
EOG1 hit me fairly hard because it’s covering many areas in my life that need healing. I was using RICH Trader then pulled back to EOG1. But the two main areas that kept coming up was the worthiness and the scarcity mindset that both needed healing.
And yes, you hit the nail on the head, it’s not just about finances. It’s about the internal healing of not feeling “good enough” about all kinds of things. Man, when my world came crashing in on me all this old stuff came back.
When life is good, well, it’s easy to compensate (often overcompensate) and you forget you still have these issues that need healing. I’m focusing on the core areas of life in general, but also healing the financial core areas. They are very much intertwined. Healing one and not the other doesn’t work either (for me personally).
