Yeah! Managing stress goes hand in hand with applying knowledge. Unless you are an expert at a domain, applying that new knowledge is always a bit stressful, and if you add a context of being under pressure to it… It gets to another level for sure!!

Hate to break it to you, you’re actually both wrong. The 10% theory has been debunked, we are actually using significantly more than that, which is the problem.
The data shows that when people are performing at their peak abilities, brain activity slows down significantly, shuts out the noise so to speak, so it can focus and concentrate on the task at hand. Fun facts.

the original study said that we only know 10% of what our brain is used for. but it gets misinterpreted and spread as “we only use 10% of our brain”.
The field itself is still largely unknown, but we are discovering more and more of it as time goes on.

This statement is correct.
But it does not invalidate @King’s statement. In fact, it supports it.
“Brain Activity” and “Brain Capacity” are not the same things.
I’d see that as the actual takeaway of this entire little sub-conversation.
One more bit of support for the view that: Less is often More; and simplistic correlations between quantity and quality often do not hold up.

Even the makers of the movie acknowledged the falsity of the myth. Good movie though.
The reality is we use all of our brain, but just different parts at different times.
It isn’t physically possible to use 100% at the same time. The body would likely shut down from conflicting instructions.
