In Norse mythology, despite the common understanding, Ragnarok doesn’t mean only the doom or end of the Gods and World. It depicts a cleansing process, through which the gods could be reborn.

Vikings didn’t see time as linear which has a beginning and an end, they viewed time as a cyclic event, and Ragnarok is the end of the previous cycle so a new cycle could begin.

Clearly it’s the turning of cycles. I think it’s both for a new tech, but also for a new product line. And a reference to the coming turmoil we face today, and something to help us navigate it into a new and better world.

Im still not convinced less recon is a good thing.

It’s a sign the sub is working. You need to go through the hardships to value the results at the end.
