No Nut and NoFap definitive data

I am on noFap Semen Rétention since a few month with ups and down.
Yet here and there I get some information of it not being useful. While Porn is bad admittedly.
For semen retention it is not that clear.
In my experience it kind of makes me edgy a little more aggressive but I don’t know if some healthy lifestyle with good diet good sleep lifting weight and martial arts would not have the same results.

Besides I saw a few video including this one

Which kind of summarize what I heard elsewhere.

Any informed opinion about that, pulled from your own experience beyond beliefs and religion or not 100% based on religion or spirituality?

I am also doing semen retention.

To do it right, you’re supposed to not lust either. Not releasing is only half the recipe, imagining sex and edging yourself is something you gotta avoid. Not saying you do this, but I did this early on in SR. Having sexual dreams and waking up with morning wood is fine, but don’t engage further than that. Again, avoid lust.

The other thing that’s very important is you cannot let the sexual energy you are building up stagnate. This is what causes anger and bad mood. You need to move/exercise and do some kind of energy work like qi gong/yoga(real yoga), or do MCO(microcosbic orbit). The energy has to move and flow, don’t let it stagnate.

Do that and judge for yourself after 30-45 days if you see benefits.

For medical reasons alone, NoFap is not the right approach. And these are facts.

The video says something similar about broken DNA and stuff.

I think everyone will have their opinions on this

I’ve done this when I was much younger and frequenting the NoFap subreddit back in the day

I wouldn’t anymore

Because:

  1. It created sexual shame about me relapsing, releasing or having any wet dreams at all
  2. I started to develop PE
  3. I couldn’t see how I would have a healthy sexual relationship at all if I continued to never release
  4. I started attributing why I was feeling good or bad based around how far in my streak I was or whether I relapsed or not

It kind of led to this psychological trigger about whether I was fapping or not

On another note Khan Black I thought had some interesting points related to this topic I think:

Also, @Skadoosh I think had a really good post that relates to this as well:

I resonate with every point you’ve made. Guys, don’t engage in something without the correct understanding or method to do it. We’re complex beings and the lens through with we view things (or do things) affects us mentally.

Btw, @MAkh did you run Khan Black? How were the results?

Oooh I liked KB I wished I’d done it longer and got through all the stages. I did st1 for 3 cycles before my goals meant I had to switch it out

For me ST1 released a lot of things, so there were a few lows during that time

Once I got through that, I do think it’s a reason to why I can handle my loop lengths now

And probably why energy modules are wicked good for me now. I use 3 in my custom and wake up early without needing naps later in the day. Compare this to always feeling tired is a godsend

It also gives me a little calmness too

I’ve noticed the sexual titles do a wonderful job of dealing with any insecurities around sex too.

ST1 also hands down gave me the best control of when I would release during sex

It’s something you may have to experience because it’s hard to describe. But you get a good sense of what I’ll call energy circulating in that area. Meaning you can bring yourself to the edge and back down very quickly

Think breathing and your body feels more relaxed during the act too

So, that’s just ST1 for me. I do want to go through the other stages at some point because I felt ST1 was quite worth it

Semen Rétention

I’m always confused in here, when somebody talsk about Semen Rétention. Do you mean not release at all or only by masturbation? I mean, when you have sex with a partner, is it allowed, or do you restrain yourself also? I’m curious about your opinions. Even when reading the text about Khan black I’m not sure if they mean full semen retention or only when not having sex with a partner.

I’d say it all depends on your development.
First, as Fire said, energy needs to flow, to move.
So simply abstaining from release is no good. The energy gets stuck and starts to rot, so to say.
Therefore it’s necessary to get rid of the excess energy from time to time.
If you’re in a relationship, release during sex is the best thing. But if you’re single, masturbation is also a valid option, as long as it’s not to often.

If you’re more advanced, you can transmutate the energy for higher purposes. So you can use the sexual energy for creativity or even spirituality.
That way you can for example release the energy by writing a book or making music or even meditating.

Also if you dive deeper into masculine sexuality, you’ll find ways to release without release. Or rather to orgasm without releasing the seed. That way even men can have multiple orgasms while preserving the sexual energy for better outlets.

From my experience, I’m inclined to believe that this is true:

I release regularly, sometimes multiple times a day. This has been my standard for years, and the entire time I’ve continued to level up in every area of life: physical health, fitness, mental health, wealth, relationships, intelligence, fulfillment, overall QoL, resolution of experience, etc - everything has improved tremendously every year. I’ve had women literally tell me that I’m glowing, even though I released twice the day prior. For these reasons, I don’t really believe in semen retention.

The main reason for why I quit masturbation is because I realized that most of the time, whether consciously or subconsciously, I was using it as a “feel good” coping mechanism. For example: I would have an important event come up and feel some type of stress, then feel the urge to use masturbation to provide a sense of relief through pleasure and orgasm. That’s not good because it’s effectively an escape from having to deal with life or unpleasant feelings.

Do you actually live this?

Yeah I am doing SR right now and have been doing for a few months and can’t tell I feel better.m or have some Unknown benefits.
This above seems so far what needs to be focused on.

I wouldn’t overthink it too much, just follow your intuition.

Not yet but I seem to be getting there. The benefits he described are what happens after completing TRE journey fully (which means, clearing all traumas through neurogenic tremor mechanism). It takes 4-8 years on average

At this point I’m a bit more than a year into TRE. Leaving all the amazing benefits of TRE aside, in regards to SR I went from dropping into endless flatline to now actually having noticeable benefits for the first week or so of retention: more energy, more motivation, feeling better, stronger, etc.

While SR nowadays is kind of a mainstream in self improvement community, it’s actually considered to be a very advanced yoga practice. If your nervous system is in garbage state due to both lifetime and ancestral traumas, bad lifestyle, etc. - it’s unlikely you’ll experience any benefits from it. Not only from it actually, if the state of your nervous system is bad enough, even “gentle” practices as basic meditation will not work for you in the best case scenario, and worsen your life in the worst case (I’m an example for this as well)

At this point I consider TRE to be the most important habit that I’ve built, and most rewarding as well.
