I’m curious for the other way around -Ultima core in QV2
I can’t wrap my mind around the difference- it seems auras and short term boosting are diminished/lost in the conversion respectively, but are the long term results equivalent of the same strength of effect ultimately.
in another thread for Libertine and Love bomb in QV2 format
So will paragon have the same healing capacity long term-or just a good health sub but diminished effect
Same with RICH
It seems Q to Ultima might not have short term boosting-but clearly a strong Q sub as you said

I missed the “or” in the line “will paragon have the same healing capacity long term-or just a good health sub but diminished effect”. My guess is “and” replaces “or”.
So basically the Paragon Core in the Q Custom won’t be as strong as it is in Ultima but long term, the Q Custom will work just as well as the Ultima Custom.

Not necessarily. An aura generated by an Ultima-powered title will be much more potent, due to the way that it’s written and the way the format works. However, that aura will fade much quicker, since most people don’t run Ultimas for long-term programming. The auras generated by Qv2 will take longer to generate and won’t be as potent, but will be much more ever present, since they aren’t as demanding on the body’s energy reserves and will become part of your natural aura due to you running the script long-term.
If you tried to run an Ultima-powered aura subliminal as long-term programming, you’d probably burn yourself out pretty quick.

RICH is manifestation mostly, not aura. But manifestation can place a toll on the mind too.

Hey, I got asked by a user who wants to construct his first ever custom if he should get it in Q or Ultima after reading this article.
I replied:
"I find the article a bit misleading. I made two Ultima customs in the past, one with a Q core and also participated in the Ultima testing where we got StarkQ in the Ultima format.
It is true that it does work also for long-term programming but it does not mean it is more advanced or better than the standard Q custom. In fact, in my opinion, it still seems to work (only) as a booster, just one that could potentially give you long-term benefits. Ultimas do not seem to bring such deep inner lasting changes as the Q format does in my experience.
It is like Ultima changes your behavior but Q changes you."
Obviously, this is only my personal experience and opinion. For me both formats have different use cases, both being incredibly valueable at their niche. But I would not go so far to replace my Q custom with an Ultima. @SaintSovereign any comment on that?

The Ultima technology can be more powerful than the Q format. It’s a hybrid masked + embedded ultrasonic. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get BETTER results, however, because it’s also prone to overload if you were to try and make an Ultima-powered subliminal with just all Q cores. Ultima is fast acting because of its hybrid nature AND the way we script Ultima titles. Hand in hand, you get a lighter subliminal that executes quickly.

Does putting an ultima core in a Q custom count as a core or a module? In other words, could you put RICH into a success custom that already had three cores, or say Diamond or Libertine into a sex custom that already had three cores?

@RVconsultant can you confirm this if this is also true in regards to results? What I mean is that the cores in a custom are the first to be executed and the other modules are there to enhance the cores. So while the Ultima Cores might offically count as a core, they could still take over the function of a module instead of a core.
The reason I am asking is because I thinking about adding Daredevil or True Social in my Q custom. Actually I just want to enhance the social side of my cores (instead of changing the archetype through adding another core) so a module would be better. Sadly, there is none that does that in the q-store but it could be that when I put True Social in it, it acts more like a module than a custom and does exactly what I desire.
Are there different classes of Ultima ? Some that can and some that cannot be used as boosters? I read that the Sage Ultima had the whole Sub script and it cannot be used as a booster.

Ultimas are boosters.
There aren’t different classes. The Sage Immortal Ultima is a test program of sorts and probably doesn’t work as well as a booster since it does include the entire script.
