Money represents Success. Getting to the point where you are able to be reliably successful, involves personal development that extends beyond just money. And it’s attractive.
It’s not bad advice. Money does matter.
Just needs to be taken with a grain of salt. And awareness of its limitations. Similar to pretty much any general advice.
Man, I find these “quotes” hilarious. You often find them all over the Internet, attributing things to people like Voltaire or Nietzsche which they have never said, or in this case, even go diametrically against what they did say.
Nietzsche never said that in German, and would have thought that the pursuit of money with the objective of getting power/women represents the “slave morality” he often criticized. Nietzsche would have likely used subs himself, because he believed in cultivating inner power through self-sufficiency, self-understanding/self-mastery and creativity.
Now, the reason Nietzsche would have deemed this a kind of “slave morality” is because the idea of money->power->women is socially engineered to a large degree. Society and capitalism benefit from men buying into the idea that love can be bought. It keeps men trapped in exchanging their valuable time and attention power for money and distracts from personal/spiritual growth(unless, as Malkuth said, the qualities you develop in becoming financially independent help your personal growth). You don’t really want get trapped in cycles of consumerism. But a capitalist society will lead you straight into it. It is the transactional framing you get conditioned with. There is some truth to it, but it is made to look much more important than it actually is. It benefits the few.
Nietzsche, like most German philosophers, isn’t the right person to ask about women, anyway. Like Schopenhauer, he got rejected a lot and started to project insecurities on them as a whole gender. Generally by downplaying their intellect and focusing on the aspect of cunning. But he wasn’t wrong about the socially engineered ideas of modern Western societies.
Someone actually said it out loud.
Having a good financial setup is more for survival and security for yourself and a level of enjoyment of life. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to achieve a certain level of money in order to be good at attracting women. That idea seeps into the mainstream through movies, adverts and YouTube but doesn’t bear out in observed life.
You don’t need money to get women.

Yet prioritizing making money in the hope of getting laid like a king (one of the alternatives given in the opening post) is not only a fatal mistake but also points to underlying issues, such as a lack of self-worth or a need for external validation.
On top of that, there are certain types of women who only care about money. I don’t take those women into account at all.
I don’t want to go off topic, but I’d consider why it can be a fallacy in many cases—for example, being born into money and still ending up a total loser or a psychological mess.

I guess what the OP meant boils down to the most common question when it comes to getting women: What do women really want?

I just want to make sure we keep things nuanced.
You can not grow up after 20 or something, your spine is just closed.
Women want the WANTED man—the one who is successful with women—because surely there must be a reason for his success. Whatever that reason may be.
Why is that so? Perhaps women want their offspring to inherit the trait (the gene) that makes the WANTED man so successful with women (and thus in reproduction). Money is not a gene, and linking it to genetics is highly doubtful.
Although, we could argue that money can be inherited.
My understanding is:
Money first → more free time and more options in life
Sex first → you can get laid but that’s it, you won’t have more free time and any many more options in life (exception: you get together with a rich girl)
Yeah, exactly. Money doesn’t make men more attractive, it doesn’t. What it does do is give you the freedom to live life on better terms, which makes you happier, and ultimately more attractive.

From your question, I can tell that you’re looking for people’s experiences to craft a “decision matrix” which you can then use to make a decision on what to focus on now.
Which is good in a way, but ultimately, paths differ, even though they may be similar on some grander scale.
Now, you know you want both sex and money.
Next, identify which is the bigger constraint, why it is and how working on it will improve the other aspect, at the same time.
Alternate periods of focus between them. Sure the higher the focus allotted to one, the faster growth will be, but constraints shift from time to time. You don’t have to completely sacrifice one. As growth in one area, will inevitably feed into the other area.
Most of my focus will be biased towards money, for now, due to my desire for more “freedom/expanded lifestyle options.” Which is my biggest constraint right now.

Are you financially independent and living comfortably? If the answer is no, then focus on money until you are. This is exactly what I did, and it’s the route I tell every young man to take.
The secret is that if you go monk mode and begin directing all of that sexual energy (think sexual transmutation) towards your financial success - you will get there in a blink of an eye. Think of it like speed-running while everyone else is playing the game at normal pace. This is especially true if you’re on the younger side and don’t have a ton of responsibilities.
