MALKUTH The Phenomenaut

So micro-loops are up and running.

I ran Phenomenaut Genesis for 2.5 minutes, Pools black for 5 minutes. Then I went over the line and ran 90 seconds of Hero Origins.

And I just realize that something very interesting happened. But I’m going into another meeting now, so I’ll describe it afterwards.

Okay, so using iTunes on my PC allows me to preset listening times on my sub programs without changing the files at all. So, for as long as I am using shorter than full loops this is a pretty good option.

Here’s a picture from online:

You just right-click on the song, choose ‘Song Info’, and then go to the Options tab, and you can enter a start time and a stop time. Now whenever you play that song, it will abide by those times.

In the example in the picture above, when that song comes up in the queue, it will start playing from the 0:30 mark, and then play until the end.

I don’t see the same option on the smartphone, but it’s there on the computer. So that works perfectly.

After thinking about it for a while, I settled on those times mentioned above:

PHENOMENAUT Genesis: 150 seconds
POOLS Black: 300 seconds (I’m including this for longer because I wanted to make longer Paragon Complete exposure)
Hero Origins: 90 seconds

Two days ago, on Tuesday, I tried it for the first time. I played Phenomenaut Genesis and Hero. I hadn’t come up with these times yet, so I played each for 2 minutes, I think.

Then I decided that the next time I played subs, I would experiment with playing all three in the same day. Maybe do that for a week or 2 and see how it works.

So today I played all three programs back to back. 2.5 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1.5 minutes adds up to a 9-minute playlist.

I created two versions of the playlist, one Ultrasonic and one Masked.

Today I planned to, as I ate lunch, watch 10 to 15 minutes of a show I’m currently enjoying. After I finished cooking, I brought out my food, pressed ‘play’ on my playlist, and pressed play on the show.

I pretty much instantaneously ‘forgot’ all about the subliminals. And here’s the weird part.

At one point, I finished eating the food I’d served for myself, and without thinking of it, I paused the show and got up to get some more food. When I came back to the table, I suddenly remembered the subliminals. Oh, oops! I hadn’t quite finished that yet, had I?

Using the timestamp on the tv show, and knowing when I’d started watching and when I’d paused, I could figure out approximately how long I’d been listening to the sub. And the funny part is that based on my estimate, I took off my headphones and got up right when the third program was about to start playing.

Looks like my subconscious was giving me a break after playing two programs.

That kind of thing used to happen all the time. Little ‘coincidences’ that would influence which programs I listened to and for how long.

Anyway, yup, so that happened.

I still went back and listened to 90 seconds of the third program. hahaha.

After finishing lunch and subs, I had to hustle and hurry to get to my meeting. So I did that.

In the meeting itself, I noticed a particular kind of energetic, restless quality to my mind. It was not super-intense, but I noticed that I was being pretty active.

It does indeed seem that the shorter loops are processing more immediately and more quickly.

Something interesting today was that I found myself starting to take care of things that I’d been putting off. Two tasks in particular that had been gathering dust, I simply got to and got off of my desk.

Is this because of micro-loops?

Maybe Victory’s Call in my custom that I played this afternoon?

Maybe micro-loops are the new Ultima.

I also have Victory’s Call in my custom and have had similar experiences where stuff I’ve been putting off becomes easily doable. It’s more pronounced with HOSB added in.

The same thing happened to me with HeO

It’s not just a few things, i started doing a whole list of them after i started HeO. I don’t feel like i’m dragging myself to do them, it just happens naturally like it has been my habit all along.

Son left for school at 8:00. I sat for a while, letting my brain coalesce into wakefulness. But I knew that I had a 10 am meeting. So at 8:35, I moved onto the meditation cushion. Have been having some distinctive meditation sessions lately. They’ve felt very smooth and calm, but at the same time very wakeful, very ‘normal’. Not that zooted, high, altered-states kind of sensation. Very grounded and sober. Well, as much as the mind ever really gets sober.

The meeting was in-person and 10 minutes away by taxi; also I hadn’t showered yet. So, I knew that the moment the final meditation bell rang, I would need to be in motion.

So, that final bell rang. I swished across the room to grab all the clothes (shirt, tie, pants, underwear, socks) that I’d need. And a washcloth and towel too. Set them on the bed and quickly put whatever supplies I’d need into a bag. Took a 2 minute shower. Got out, booked the taxi. Dried off, got dressed and was in the taxi by about 4 minutes later.

Actually got to the destination just about on time. A miracle.

Meetings hit the ground running. Went from 10 to 12.

After that, left the group meetings, and came back to office for a one-on-one meeting. That was more leisurely. A good conversation. Went over time. Ended at about 1:40. Now it’s 2:30 pm and I’m ordering a late lunch.

Just watched a video of Amanda Seales opining on ‘Nice Guys’. She’s audacious, but her points were basically right. Truth is, I don’t give much of a damn about ‘nice guys’ or not. I’m going to effing be me. If someone thinks it’s too nice or if they don’t like it for any of 1 million other reasons, well… the one thing we’re not short on right now is freaking humans. Just go find one of the other eight billion ninety-nine million nine hundred ninety-nine thousand nine hundred ninety-eight people. Yup. That’s how many options there still are if you take me out of the pciture.

It’s mad.

Lot of freaking humans here on Earth right now.

Anyway.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to anyone to whom that might matter.

Tomorrow’s another play day, and I’m wondering where next this adventure might be taking me.

And so on and so on. Amen.

Was just drawing a complete blank about what tasks there were to do. Sometimes there’s so much that I forget all of it.

Now I remember.

Here we go.

Yeah Saint has mentioned a few times not to modify the audio. I’d recommend not touching anything.

I won’t go into the specifics but unless you’re working with lossless audio off the bat it’s hard to retain quality. In music and stuff it gets a pass. But the script, how it interweaves with the masked audio, and other thing (like the solace masked track) it’s definitely a gamble.

Sorry for the derail @Malkuth, this just stuck out to me in the journal.

Yes. I think it’s clear from what I’ve written above that it was unintentional.

Once I realized what was happening, I switched over to a new method of listening. It’s working great. And it’s actually kind of fun to have meditation and subliminals completely separate for now.

Fortunately, only two of my listening sessions were affected. And in those sessions only Hero was impacted, since I was trying to play 3 minute loops of it (in line, ironically, with recommendations). After that, I discovered the alteration and switched to iTunes where everything works fine. In those two ‘suspect’ sessions, I was playing full-loops of my customs. So, there should have been no impact on those (I think).

But it just occurred to me right now that this means that my first two loops of Hero may have been affected. So in that case, I should start counting from 26 September. That means that, so far, I’ve run two ‘confident’ loops of Hero.

Interesting. Because during that time, there have already been a number of manifestations.

Interesting.

Actually, I’m now feeling a little paranoid about using AudioShare at all. haha. What if even the normal import method is impacting the files in some way that I can’t tell? Think I’ll be sticking to this listening arrangement for a while. I’m also liking regularly using Ultrasonic again for the first time in years.

Another morning meditation followed by Saturday morning meetings from 10 am to 1 pm. Afterwards, I ordered a lunch.

Decided to splurge and ordered a slice of cheesecake for the first time in probably 10 years?

Ate one bite of the cheesecake and something felt wrong. Realized that the crust probably was made from walnuts. I’ve got a pretty intense nut allergy. Fortunately, I realized immediately. Spit most of it out.

One weird thing I’ve found over the years is that drinking or even just gargling with Coca Cola relieves the symptoms faster. Probably one of the ingredients in their secret formula. I don’t really drink Coke for any other reason, so there was one very old can still here. Might have also helped that I ran Paragon about 30 minutes earlier as part of my stack.

Long story short: it was a pretty mild reaction, and I seem to be basically good now. Thank goodness.

Slice of life (pun intended).

Sorry @Malkuth for asking in your journal.

@Fractal_Explorer do you mean I cannot even rename the subliminal mp3 file?
