I’m also behaving like this when listening to Ascension.
Actually I don’t understand why should this be the way, because I like to express myself and show emotions instead of doing poker faces, and I don’t like when people do it either.
I must admit women look more interest in me if I do this, but I always prefer people who express themselves and show who they really are and their emotions, because those people show they have nothing to hide and they like to connect with others emotionally (at least is what I do by default).
I’ve tried some Youtube videos, but never really could medidate properly, or feel benefits from meditation.
Any good links?

Depends on what tradition/system you are learning.
Simplest meditation to do is just breathing-focused meditation. You’ll want to add some physical activity as well.
Qigong, again, depends on tradition/system. It can be bleh, good, life-changing, or harmful, as well as depending on the teacher and what kind of student you are.
If you don’t have a teacher, practice simple meditation and do martial arts until you find a legitimate one with a legit system.
I would like to go into MMA, but I already practice CrossFit 3x per week and at the moment I don’t have the energy for more. Let’s stick with CrossFit and breathing-focused meditation.

Transcendental Meditation
You come up with a 3 syllables mantra that you will repeat in your mind, the Mantra must not have any meaning or remind you of anything, so when repeat the mantra your “mind” cannot find the meaning in it and eventually tap into the higher centers of the brain (we can also say Heaven, Higher-Self, Superconsciousness or whatever you believe in…) to find the meaning and you experience altered states of consciousness, bliss, enlightenment etc.
Meditation practice is simple, set the timer for 5 minutes, start meditating and chant the mantra in you mind repeatedly when and if something else comes to your mind pull you attention back to the mantra.
You can eventually increase meditation time to 15 minutes, also note that it might be little boring and hard to do at fist…
There’s also “Transcendental Meditation” instructors that gives you “your” special mantra they generate through your birthdate, name etc. I am not sure if this is necessary but you can check it out.
Namasmarana Meditation

But the idea inspired me doing the same meditation above in different manner…
This time instead of meaningless mantra or mantra you are given, you chant the Names of the God…
You can pick the name or mantra of your choice from any tradition or culture. (Shiva, Shiva, Shiva, Shiva… etc.)
You can also do this practice during anytime of the day focusing your mind on the “name” as much of you could not always have to be in meditation…

For meditation I’d suggest Adyashanti True Meditation (book or audio), similar to shikantaza in zen
If you are more inclined toward a “traditional” approach, shaila catherine books.
For energy practices, daoist tradition, Damo Mitchell is very good imo.
Also Flying Phoenix Qigong is pretty powerful.
But yeah… for both, your motivation for doing it is important in choosing your practices (e.g. you might look for meditation as just a relaxation exercises… qigong for health or martial or spiritual purposes… ecc)
Running it in my stack, and I noticed I’m naturally calmer during the day.
There are still times I overthink a bit but for the most part my physical body itself is relaxed, and that helps me relax further cause there’s this disharmony from the idea of a relaxed body yet an overthinking mind. In time as I become more naturally relaxed, it will certainly help curb that.
I was with someone and they became irate about something, not involving me. I didn’t have any emotional reaction, simply watching the situation and in my mind… well that was silly.
Another small observation, I was driving and I found myself humming this old song, “accentuate the positive” and I smiled to myself, ah Sanguine.

Added sanguine to my stack recently after seeing some of @Sub.Zero posts and results. Had used it in the past but never consistently, and things seem to be going much much deeper this go around.
The first and most impactful result I’ve had, is that it feels like literally all negativity is just being purged from my mind. When a negative thought arises, I am much more consciously aware, and quickly am able to shift my focus to what I do want. I have been doing some reading from aberham hicks, and she states that we are always attracting are desires from the second they are born, but that can be either negative or positive depending on how we are thinking and feeling about the desire, and the state of our vibration. If this holds true, Sanguine and other positivity subs can potentially be massive result enhancers as they keep your positivity and state in a higher vibration.
I also have noticed deeper states of relaxation. Yesterday during a meditation, after releasing some thing I had been holding on to for quite some time, I felt like I had the ability to feel for the first time in a long time. I had been so tense and stifled from past traumas that I hadn’t even noticed it. (The big key to this release was forgiveness for me).
Mental clarity and productivity which are two of the main reasons I initially decided to run this are feeing much improved. It’s a different type of productivity rather then the hustle and grind of LE, it fees as though I just don’t mind doing the work and things I would typically push off. In regards to clarity, without my mind running rampant with thoughts and bombarded with stimuli, I feel I am starting to get more clear on my true self and what I’d like to do in the next chapter of my life.
The power of clarity and focus, when all the mental clutter is tuned down.

I rented Sanguine and tested it in reality when moving, I felt real calm, equanimity, but the habit of making me nervous and fussing over little things remained. Reflection program. I will continue to listen, I think it will cure my inner fear and anxiety
