No, because you’ll have to login to the app, and there would be a server-side component (stored on our server, not your local device) that determines whether you’ll be able to play a track. Easy peasy.
It won’t be overcome easily.
Doesn’t work like that, unfortunately. You can easily ignore this kind of scripting if you want, plus it could cause significant recon in some.
Not really. Like I said, if you store the user’s listening history server-side, changing local variables won’t do anything. This is the same way MMORPGs store which items you have. It’s done server side rather than locally (so you can’t hack the files and give yourself unlimited gold and the such).
Not with a hard lockout. If we go this route, you can always use the 15 minute versions. 3 minute and 5 minute versions are too tempting and dangerous for us to just release to the public without any oversight.
For me, it’s more like limiting liability and having a business versus not having a business because some idiot overexposed himself, got hurt and decided to be litigious. I care about all of ya’ll, but I ain’t losing my dream over this. If we did go this route and the backlash became too great, we’d just scrap the 3 / 5 minute versions.
If you can’t go somewhere for 3 minutes (9 minutes with a full stack) without being interrupted, that’s not on us. You gotta think big picture.
