Main Disc. Thread - Fire vs. Saint Round 4 [The Battle is On!]

I think there’s something here, and it isn’t that the Law of Attraction “isn’t real”, but rather that talking about and espousing belief in the LoA is not particularly well correlated with success in using the law. There is also the chance they are finding exactly what they want from their use of the Law of Attraction, but it just doesn’t look like anything to you. Maybe they just want easy wins in their favorite PvP game, or to always get their favorite flavor out of the gumball machine.

Because there’s bigger powers in place manifesting hunger and wars and the current system to go on. That’s why most stick to their immediate environment, and not so much changing the world.

Ya this is scummy but no different than course entrepreneurs; the people who make all their money on courses and not a cent on the actual topic of the course. It’s a common thing. It’s like if I made a course on how to get rich day trading, does that mean getting rich by day trading is not real?

Because most people carry around anger, trauma, insecurities etc thru their day. You can I AM ABUDNANT all you want but if you believe that there’s not enough to go around, then you will just attract scarcity. Manifesting isn’t as easy as “just be positive bro”, because for most people, it’s not realistic. You have to first go and unroot most limitations that keep your inner dialogue negative and you have to change your beliefs. Half way manifesting won’t work.

Don’t get me wrong, there are people who can manifest effortlessly from day 1. I’ve met associates like this, it’s the people who “always seem to get lucky”, “good deals always come their way”, and “money just seems to always find them, because everything they touch turns to gold”. Luck has nothing to do with it, these people just never have an ounce of doubt that they can stack money.

But for most people, they first gotta change their way of thinking.

If magnetism is real, how come when I hold up a kitchen magnet, airplanes don’t fall out of the sky?

There’s a difference between power and infinite power, between potency and omnipotence.

You can have a grown-up relationship to powers, to persons, to principles.

It takes a while to learn this because, at first, we’re usually looking for a savior, or something to ‘fix it all’.

You can see when someone is really deeply, deeply in the grip and the thrall of that way of looking at things. The desperation and the ambivalent longing is just palpable. One second building things up to be perfect; and the next completely despising those things. It’s not out of an intention to harm; it’s just a desperate fear that improvement might not be possible.

So every effort feels like a Hail Mary pass.

But when we leave that behind, we can just learn without all of that neediness for The Final Answer.

At first it’s a disappointment.

Then it’s a relief.

Then it’s an amazing discovery, because we find that garden-variety Earth-sized power is already enough to blow your mind open 10000 times.

And then there are people like me.
I know that LoA works beautifully.
But due to my ADHD I can’t get my ass to actually do the work.

Due to my burnout I missed an exam in university 2 times. I had one last try or I would have failed and would have needed to change university.
It was a history exam and hundreds of pages to learn with hundreds of dates to learn, lot of principles to understand etc.
I had only a couple of days left and I was in panic. Like a few panic attacks a day. Then my mother recommended a book from Joseph Murphy to me (I think The power of the unconscious mind).
Despite my exam I read it in one sitting. Then I wrote a script for the remaining time I had for preparation and the exam. I played it like a movie in my head every hour. From learning to entering university, being greeted by my professors, and the lm shaking my hand, gratulating me to a 1+ and finally me calling family and friends about my success.
After an hours or so my panic faded. Then I went through all my scripts and created a question catalog with all kind of questions I could come up with. Then instead of repeating my script over and over I answered the questions time and time again.
When my exam came up the next day, everything went as I scripted it the day before. The greeting, the exam, the handshake (I totally forgot about Corona regulations, but they shook my hand nevertheless, just as I scripted it) and the grade.

Since this time, I know that I can manifest.
Since this time, I know that LoA works.

But still, I can’t get myself to get my ass up and manifest the life I want.

I allways did 15 min because I liked when a storm was going on in me, it forced me to work nonstop. I was driven and willing to experience hard situations.

But then I healed many of my traumas and suddenly I came to the state of : let’s enjoy a easy ride for once

Today I can’t imagine doing something that stresses me out or even force me.

3 min is just right for me,i feel the changes and they happen naturally

6 min is like a transformation
9 is like a workaholic
12 is break through
15 is occupation for 7 days

So I give myself the relaxing but super effective 3 min and enjoy the ride

You are right to question the way the alleged law of attraction is presented in modern media. That’s because modern movements have made it too mystical and symbolic rather than focusing on it more as a science, or practical tool.

While these grandiose presentations of it are beautiful and awe-inspiring, there’s also an element of glamour and illusion that gets involved that can not only invalidate the idea as a whole, but also impair the results.

In my opinion, there is little need for esotericism to understand it from a practical level. You simply have to contemplate on everything that constitutes this “law.” And that would be:

The nature of contemplation.
The nature of perception.
The nature of reflection.
The nature of self-reflection.
The nature of resonance.
The nature of “will.”
The nature of action taking.

There’s a difference between understanding something and truly believing in it.
Understanding is limited by what we already know—by the reality we currently inhabit. It’s grounded in facts, experience, and logic. But belief allows us to connect with the unknown, to feel what’s coming from the future before it arrives. While the universe doesn’t give us exactly what we want, it always responds to who we are and what we believe.

Many people struggle with the Law of Attraction (LOA) because they begin by doubting themselves. They believe they’re already failures before even taking a step. That belief then shapes their understanding—convincing them it’s impossible, that it will never work. And so it doesn’t.

I’ve tried LOA many times. I’ve failed, even expected to fail—and still kept going. I’d joke about failing, but inside, I could feel something brighter stirring—a quiet joy, a brewing sense of hope. Eventually, failure stopped feeling like failure. I kept moving.

“Genesis: The Art of Happiness and Joy” wasn’t created for nothing. But it only works when you do. Belief is the first step. Action is the second. Together, they open the door.

It NEVER has to do with your situation, you simply NEEDs to respond to it POSITIVELY.

isn’t that counterproductive to say, often time LOA guys say that do not use ‘not’ or words like that in affirmations.

Doesn’t that awake the situation that you don’t want in your mind?

Only if you believe it. LOA isn’t about accidentally wording something the wrong way and then manifesting the bad thing. The bad thing only manifests if you invest attention/emotion/belief into it.

I agree with @Judoka that LOA or whatever is more complicated than what pop New Age is saying, even worded through the lens of whatever oriental culture. New Age try to make everything fit an idea of what LOA or manifestation is, even bending what is currently known in science to make it work (quantum?) or altogether rejecting the science that allows us to speak to each other from our mobile phone.
I have very low self esteem and low confidence and low belief in my future compared to most yet I have more accomplishment (factual school and career accomplishments) than most. I often think I will fail and stress about it yet… then I am often hypochondriac yet never manifested the disease I am afraid of.
So I think manifestation is more complicated than just be positive bro.
But obviously this is beyond our current state of evolution and understanding as human being.
Off.
