It was a bit too much.
Yesterday recon creeped in.

Identified a new-ish, specific kind of recon:
Self-distructive, very petty thoughts
about ending the
business, friendships
etc.

The next thought was:
And why tf would I do that?
Throw away everything?

It was not serious in any way
but strange how it jumped up.

Will see, if it pops up today/tomorrow again.

Today recon is gone.
In a good, rather silly mood.

I’ll go for a bit of experimentation over the next couple of cycles to establish baselines for the following questions:

How long does processing take for different listening times?
(Starting today with 2x15 minutes)
How does processing feel?
(So far light pressure at the temples, vivid dreams, enjoying some alone time.)
Is there a processing “curve”?
How does recon feel? (Different aspects, differences with/after rowing/lifting, diet, with/out company, with/out music as main emotional “carrier”. Trying to measure groggyness, sleepiness, brainfog, difficulty to concentrate, sugar craving, headaches, bad mood, Irritation. As all these symptoms can also originate from dehydration, I’ll try to drink at least 3-4 liters water per day, to isolate recon.)

Thesis: Most recon is in parts just higher demand of the body of water, electrolytes, energy, sleep, and protein, etc. (for shifting) which can be accommodated and should be done before a higher subliminal load.

How long does recon stay after overload?
Recon curve?
(1-2 day? Dependent on subs, density, listening time.)
How much does lifting, rowing help processing, recon?
Evaluate different listening times. (Staying at one duration during a cycle, getting more exposure over the cycle etc.)

Most important, I suppose, is the last listening day + washout to measure anything.

Regarding brainfog I’ll probably try vagus nerve stimulation.

26.4.2024, 1st washout day.

Disclaimer: The experimentation aims to understand recon and processing better and minimize the former as far/if possible with other means than just reducing listening time. The goal is to find/evaluate other tools and use them, but not substitute listening time and scheduling as the key elements of managing recon. Finding the listening sweet spot for listening time and scheduling are still the most important elements.

A couple of initial observations:

A Stark Black Reality motivates to analyze and hack every part of life. It’s quite delightful.

Better prevention than treatment. Recon can be handled with the usual strategies: Drinking more water, training, meditation, fresh air, a heavy meal, a hot bath, chillaxing music. It does make sense to use all this preventative. If you know/suspect, your stack is heavy/dense/difficult and listening time and scheduling are a lot, do everything you would do to combat recon beforehand. Sounds trivial, but many people go for a reactive route and not just have to handle the immediate recon, but also the emotional and social fallout.

It also could make a bit of a difference through autosuggestion: If you have prepped for softening recon, it will probably lessen, if you got a heavy stack and are expecting brutal recon to be handled afterwards you probably get exactly that.

How you emotionally approach possible recon is IMO very important, but also probably very distinct for everyone. I am very much a problem solver, so contemplating it as a simple problem, an “emotional illusion” without real basis helped my subconscious handle it better, I think. Probably best not to dwell on what recon could actually feel like.

Today I had a light headache, very light brainfog but no other signs of recon.

28.4.2024, 3rd washout day.

Yesterday wasn’t all that productive.
Did a lot of boring work
but procrastination seeped in over the day.

Overall a bit less energy to work on stuff.
A lot of processing going on.
Talking to people is difficult today.

No headache today.
No sleepiness.
No sugar craving so far.

Read your whole Journal now. It’s beautifully written. I like the poetic language. It reminded me of Haikus somehow. Is there a name/model/style you’re using?

Sounds quite familiar. We called it “the wilderness”, I guess it was inspired by a friend who was allowed to watch adult TV like Star Wars and Mad Max.

This idea of putting LB and Primal in a custom is sound. Might be an option for the future.

My guess with LB is, that it activates certain scripting that lays dormant in the subconscious.
Like “I am worthy to write/ earn money/ etc”

I’m pretty sure Saint stated that you’ll get the full script in like 3.5 minutes. Customs are a bit more frontloaded because of the modules so you’ll need about 5 minutes. I think it was in the microloop thread that James used to make Saint admit about the 4 stage structure of subs.

The structure developed organically. I wanted a line for every (positive) emotional beat, I like the Telegrammstil and the poetic ambiguity. It just felt right.

I love magic childhood places. They often are formative, in a way, where we came into being.

The quoted entry was the first clear message from the subconscious afair. (I guess this kind of dialog is what The Merger of Worlds and Information Releaser are meant for.) The night before I was contemplating the usual existential questions (“Why tf am I here?” etc.) and the subconscious answered.

It feels like the last part of the post actually describes why tf am I here.

It was an exceptionally weird and beautiful sensation writing and reading it. (I hope this doesn’t sound too esoteric.)

Absolutely great for foundational work. Hard to think of a better combination.

The only tangible feeling right now is from LB. Very recognizable.
