Haven’t got any listening in yet today. Wife and I went to the gym for our weekly Body by Science workout. (Yes, I have a spreadsheet that tracks our results each week. Based on how long we go before muscle failure on each workout, it recommends what weight to use the following week haha. Of COURSE I did that right?)
Just got home from all my running around today, no listening done yet. Was thinking of making it a “break” day since it’s almost 6pm already.
But I’m in the office now, so I’ll get in an hour three while working on my pet projects.
As I was on the bus today, I reflected back on a conversation from earlier with a guy at the bus stop. Older guy, 60s. I mentioned how I hate that the buses here only run once every hour, when every other place I’ve lived, the buses are 10-15 mins on each stop.
We both were lamenting about that. I’d told him I’d be more likely to pay the $50 for the unlimited monthly passes if it weren’t for the only-once-an-hour routes.
When I was on the bus later, alone in my thoughts…it struck me that $50 really is NOT that much money. My financial set point is SO low that $50 seems like a lot to me.
Mindset shift to Wealth Creator, and $50 seems like a drop in the bucket. I need to get to the point where something like $100,000 is to me what $50 is today. I need to reset my financial thermostat. I first heard that term “Financial Thermostat” in T. Harv Eker’s book…forgot the exact title. Millionaire Mindset or something similar.
