Irreversible life

Since we only come to this life once, what do you think we should do to look back and say we lived life to the fullest?

All I can see is that you bought into the YOLO meme. What makes you certain that you only come into this life once?

We already have proof of existense after non existence (life after not existing)

This is the first time I’ve heard of this. What exactly is this for you?

So what should we do? Travel, read, or explore?

It means “You only live once”, which you can see repeated everywhere in pop culture or at parties: YOLO (aphorism) - Wikipedia

It is based on an assumption, namely that the brain supposedly generates consciousness, and upon physical death, the brain dies, therefore consciousness ceases to exist. If you want to go down a rabbit down, I suggest looking into this further to see if this is true or not.

But to answer your question, you can live by a memento mori type of reflection, where you are conscious of your mortality(at least that of your current personality/body), and strive to make the most out of your existing relations and life potential. You want to come from a place of gratitude for what you have and a desire to explore your possibilities. As long as you do not stall or stagnate, and try to discover your purpose and align your actions with it, you should be good to go.

EDIT: And it would also help you on this forum if you first asked yourself what you can do, there is no need to post a new topic for each question you have. Do not place so much importance on the opinions of others unless you absolutely need advice and can’t figure things out on your own.

A truly interesting perspective. I can’t say I’ve experienced life much, but I’ll try…

EDIT : I had to open 5 topics to send a private message, so I asked the questions I wanted to learn about.

The clock is ticking so make most of your life! We all have one thing in common… death. And before you know it, it has arrived at your doorstep.

I worry unnecessarily about everything and can’t say I love life very much. I like different opinions, and perhaps different and interesting experiences can change our lives.

Speak for yourself, I’m not planning on dying, the past doesn’t have to repeat in the future :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

This is a good question and why titles such as Genesis are such good titles as they direct you to your purpose

Its also why I have a lot of respect those who choose the spiritual path on this forum, reading through their posts you’ll find the wisdom they are picking up on their journey

I didn’t answer your question because I don’t know the answer to this, I just keep continually learning and maybe one day I’ll get the answer

Seriously, eternal youth is available to everyone, it’s just a conditioning, it’s a very deep one, but it’s reversible over time, it has to start somewhere so it can be passed on through genetics and be a reality down the line, so that’s what I chose to believe now, for my sake and my descendants

We should definitely extend life but none should live forever. Death should come for everyone.

I’m curious what’s your thinking behind this idea?

I would say you are already immortal.

It’s just that your body and memories get erased after death.

Deep hypnosis sessions are able to retrieve some of those memories.

The skills you have learnt in your past lives get carried over, not in the exact same manner but moreso like an inborn talent or knack for it.

Even attitudes of mind are carried over, like don’t give up no matter what mentality, etc.

And everytime your spawn map is different, some say its based on karma, some say your attitude of mind determines it. Idk which.

Oh and if you can lucid dream, you can live entire lives inside it and astral projection is a whole another level of experience.

Coming back to your original question.
Do Whatever is the most meaningful to you.
Just be so good at it that everyone comes to you for answers.

And read If by Rudyard Kipling
