Kinda cute. A bit weird: The protagonists were ~13 in the comics, aged to 16 for the TV series, played by 25-30 y o actors.
Re: Renaissance Man: Vibes -
The lastest Doctor WHO episode has such a lovely SciFi hook (What happens with humanity if it loses music?) to start with.
The storytelling is lazy, the episode feels very disneyfied, but Jinkx Monsoon gives us one of the grandest pantomime WHO villains ever.
Metropolis by Fritz Lang (1927). Remastered, colourized, new music. One of the most influental german films of all time. Here: The surreal fever dream sequence.
HÄXAN (The Witch), Sweden, 1922. One of the early horror film classics. Planned as a trilogy, only one got made.
I absolutely love this Doctor. Matt Smith is my absolute favorite. For whatever reason I could into Peter Capaldi or Jodie Whittaker as the doctor. This guy Ncuti Gatwa is pure personality and charisma
Totally agree! The show needed a fresh start after the last few seasons, Gatwa is perfect for it. Love him. I hope, the writing improves a bit. Spaces Babies weren’t that great, The Devil’s Chord should have an episode to remember. (Monsoon as villain was great, the Beatles, nice plot hook.) Boom was IMO good.
Da fk.
Looks great.
Weirdly enough is does!
Was very pleasantly very surprised by it.
