This is something that is normal
People usually complain about anything just to complain … they will highly ever use any advice they are ever given till they actually want to change things
Best to let these people go honestly because they usually don’t care about your advice you’re just their vent dummy. …. Been there done that
stable routine and habits (consistent exercise habit, consistent deep work habits, tracking finances, following through on projects, managing my attention well which means quitting addictions like reels and so forth)
get out of debt
create a stable source of online income, so that I can quit my current gigs
I’d say I’m doing alright so far progress-wise but it still doesn’t feel completely natural, hence I asked about resistance, hoping there are ways to somehow aid the process. It currently feels like “I’m doing that but that’s not who I am” which can sometimes send me into a recon/depressive state of “what’s the point of all of that?” lol
I do occasionally slip into old behaviors, especially when the external circumstances are not the most favorable. Like if I undersleep, I might fall back into old habits like watching reels, etc. I’m working on that diligently
I guess that’s just the reality of habit building and identity changes and I should be a bit more patient
I’ll chime in too since you’re also reading my journal along with the relaxation stuff.
Lately, every time there’s resistance to doing something, I notice a subtle tension that keeps the mind at war with itself. If you can be aware of that tension and try to relax it, you’ll find it easier to just go and do the thing.
There will be other tension popping up trying to maintain said tension, but as long as you’re moving along anyway, you can try to just observe them while they’re coming, staying, and going on their own.
It all comes back to the general tips we all throw around here.
Journaling (a way to be aware of & process what’s inside) + taking action.
Basically this, lol.
I like to listen to people vent and see their demeanour gradually soften as they are finally able to let it all out. It’s satisfying in its own way. Most of the time, people just need someone to genuinely listen to & care for them.
You’d be surprised how much doing this alone will help them go through their lives.
From my experience, if you want to help, the best way I’ve found is to guide them to understand what they need to do by themselves. Slowly build the trust so that they’ll be more willing to listen to more demanding advice in the future.
Yet the state you were in before you did all the new things doesn’t define who you were either.
It’s textbook recon imo. You’re doing fine.
Exactly.
Progress isn’t always linear.
Let’s say we have 5 stages of productivity.
1 being the bare basics (bottom), 5 being your peak productive self (top).
People think being in (let’s say) stage 4 means you don’t need to work as much with the previous stages, but in actuality, being in stage 4 means paying attention & constantly working on all the current & previous stages, all 1-4.
Some days you can pull off the 4, some days you could only do the equivalent of stage 2 or 3 max. The fluctuation is completely normal. Keep doing your best and the overall trend will go up over time.
It’s normal to come all the way back down to the bare foundation (stage 1) and focus on that for an extended period of time even though you’re already at stage 4. Maintaining the foundation is as important as building the pyramid up.
Many times in life, things are easy to build, but hard to maintain.
Going down doesn’t mean you’re regressing; you’re simply maintaining what you’ve built up.
Specifically, it’s almost like my manifestations come to a halt when I’m in recon and increasing duration
I was waiting for some work related things to arrive, and I swear, the movements only happened when I was at 15s loops and stopped when I was at duration above lol
money started flowing like crazy, just gotta keep up the productivity
I disagree with “take small actions” advice from the instructions. Small actions can only do so much at reinforcing new identity, at some point you gotta have the courage to do more.
Really strong recon and overload, probably because I worked overtime these couples of days but today I just crashed and was sleeping all day and procrastinating on tasks lol
Maybe I’ll have an additional rest day (today was a listening day so I might do 2 instead of 1)
yeah definitely taking an additional rest day tomorrow. I feel better today but still not as good
Also grappling with some issues, hit a very deep block that I’m currently trying to reconcile but without success. Don’t even know what actions I can take for now tbh so I’m just keeping listening and waiting for inspiration
Also, I want to try MWF schedule for my next cycle. 1 on 1 off works well but inserting additional rest days is recommended and I notice that I go into overload mode without more rest days eventually. MWF should take care of it
next cycle starts in ~2 weeks, MWF, 15s for all subs for 30 listening days. WIll try to not up duration at all and see if the results are better like that
If it works, I’ll try increasing duration just once per cycle, I’ll see how it goes
very strong recon, feeling rather bad mentally - sad, hopeless, apathetic
Considering doing an early washout, but still finsihing 4 listening days that are left for this cycle (so that I don’t feel guilty for not following through with my stack lol)
so like 3-5 days of rest → 4 listening days → 5 days of rest → new cycle
we’ll see the day after tomorrow though, maybe I’ll feel much better after 2 rest days total and won’t need to do an early washout
You’re in good company. MaKh and I swear by the MWF split. 4 built in rest days and the mini-wash out over the weekend really helps with progressing big scripts.
Have you decided how you spitting up your stack? Like what titles on which days or are you doing 3 every listening day?
