Question from @Green-power-ranger (original post):
@qOS what’s the point of learning and practicing sales when U can just run true sell st 1 and be good at sales immediately?
Summary
@Green-power-ranger — True Sell Stage 1 develops the seller, and you still have to learn and do the selling yourself. The title can make that learning faster and steadier. It does not hand you the finished skill on day one.
True Sell develops trainable commercial skill: learnable behaviour and the psychology that supports it. Almost every Stage 1 feature is something you do. The Direct Ask builds the habit of stating the next step plainly. The Second Answer builds the habit of listening one level deeper before you recommend anything. The Tended Book builds the habit of logging every opportunity with a dated next move. A habit forms through repetition, so the title needs real calls, asks and follow-ups to work on. It can lower the fear around the ask and steady you under pushback, but it cannot make the call or learn your product for you.
Stage 1 also points you toward practice. The Turning Point develops the habit of investing deliberately in selling as a core career skill. Love of the Game develops a genuine interest in the craft, so you keep practising through flat weeks and rejection. Skipping the learning would mean working against two of the title’s own features.
Stage 1 does not carry knowledge of your particular market: your product, your buyers, their usual objections, your pricing. The same technique is worth very different amounts depending on who uses it. Stage 1 builds the person using the technique. The technique and the market knowledge come from study and from calls, and the title helps them stick.
On “immediately”: results vary with the listener, effort, experience and market, and no title can promise a particular number or timeline.
A good next step is to turn each behavioural feature into a visible habit in your workflow, such as a CRM field, a checklist or a calendar block. Then track a few numbers before and during your run, such as asks made, follow-ups completed and deals closed, so you can see the change in your results instead of guessing at it.
