Writing scenes makes them come alive

I wanted to touch on a topic that I wanted some feedback.

Is everything happening around a us coming purely from subconscious mind?

Meaning if I change whats inside me, or what I think is inside me, everything outwards changes?

It is a deep question, but for context, I have been chasing financial freedom for years. Constant actions, and hustle etc. but lately I have been questioning the validity of this approach and decided to do a mini trial.

I let go of everything, no to do list, no goals, and instead I started writing, at the end of each day, I would sit, and write about my ideal day, sort of essays, an alternate version of today, but in the best scenario that I wanted.

I would do this every night for like 5-10 min, it gave me inspiration, and imagination.

But things started to appear, things that I wrote started to actually happen in my day to day life.

Now in my writings, there is a general theme or commonality, but I write everyday something slightly different than the day before, sort of a different life path.

Now I am wondering instead of hustling through the rabbit hole chasing financial freedom, chasing ideal fwbs chasing other things.

What if I just sit every night for extended time say 45 min to write about my ideal day. Have that inspiration. And call it a day, and let life happen to me. Let life unfold to me naturally and I drift around it naturally, instead of me trying to steer the wheel and encounter resistance at every turn.

What do you guys think of this?

Anyone tried to do this approach? After much googling I arrived at the name Neville Goddard.

I am considering taking this method seriously and start writing for up to 40min per day.

Read these books

psycho-cybernetics
Or just any book by neville goddard.

Just a question for you do you write in first person or 3rd person in your stories

I write as a journal literally. I just say things like.
Today I woke up, went outside to the garden and the birds were singing for me etc etc

I write as things already happened during the day.

Just like journally but my ideal life

Yup thats in first person perspective.

Just keep doing what your already doing. It happens in the effortless way you wrote it. Almost like you didnt care cause it already happened

this. I recommend this more than any book. This is the most important book.

Interesting, I always see the praise of this book but I read it like 5 years ago and haven’t found it all that useful

could you explain a little more in depth what benefits did you notice, what things you implemented, etc. after reading it?

I juat gave this a try’ powerful stuff. Will add it to my morning routine.

Thanks.

Personally, after reading a lot of self help books - I’ve noticed all the tips/tricks that have been shared all come from this book.

alter ego effect (book) - psycho-cybernetics - same concept but I learnt the self image practice had more of an effect, I didn’t need a switch. I felt more conformable in being myself and the self image I’ve created. I didn’t need to look into creating an alter ego to feel whole.

I relabelled all my failures/wins make it easier to accept and improve on.

Inner voices is more positive (using custom/subs helped push this). these are a few I can think of top of head right now. A lot of other stuff is natural to me now.

This book hits very well when you’re having self image problems. If that’s not an issue, then it doesn’t seem useful. I’ve recommend it to a few people and the ones who gained the most have been self image issues.
