Why im obssesed with fighting?

I always visualizing myself beating up people, sometimes in life sometimes in competition settings.

Sometimes when i walk around i start throwing punches to the air before i notice and stop.

I think i should be able to beat everyone and believe fighintg power is corileted with status and respect.

I also always dream about being a champion in the ufc or something, altho im not even training.

I dont train martial arts, i did in the past but very little, maybe someone can help me understand why is that?

You really think and stranger in an internet forum can accurately answer that?

You have to do some inner work, introspection or talk to a professional.

No one here is a therapist a lot less a virtual distance therapist.

From your own words you seem to have anger or frustration issues but who knows…

Lol I can relate to visualizing beating ppl up. Is there some type of anger or other negative emotions you feel you may have trapped within yourself? If so your subconscious may feel as if fighting is an outlet to help deal with it.

I dont know maybe recon pushed me into writing this here

@Viking : This looks like a lot of repressed anger. There might be other issues as well. Maybe stack LBFH and CFW for multiple rounds. While subs are a great tool, don’t underestimate therapy.

If you find someone who practices the Deep PEAT modality, give it a shot: Deep PEAT Method @ andreafranic.com

Oh by the way, sign up to a very physical martial arts class. I recommend Muay Thai. When you start beating up people for real and getting beat just as much (in a controlled setting), you’ll start releasing some of that stuff.

I understand where you’re coming from @Viking (especially with visualizing myself fighting). By practicing fighting I was able to find an outlet for my pent-up anger and aggression. If I don’t train for a week, I can feel the pent-up energy boiling up.

Beating people up and having fun is one thing. When you get matched up with someone significantly better than you, where it feels like your strikes either miss or just bounce off them when they do land, it’s a very humbling experience.

You basically have 2 options in that kind of scenario, and both lead to you getting your ass beat (just to different extents). It’s an intimidating experience, but one that everyone should go through.

There is nothing wrong with this. It is your Warrior archetype showing up.

We all lean most into one of the 4 archetypes naturally. Or have an interest in another archetype depending on our age and/ situation. Among these 4 are King, Warrior, Magician and Lover archetypes.

The King is the leader. People like the president, godfather, emperor, dictator, etc embody this archetype.

The Warrior is the fighter. People like the revolutionary, soldier, henchmen, martial artist, criminal, etc are among this group.

The Magician is the thinker. People like the dreamer, teacher, researcher, alchemist, programmer, writer, nerd, etc are all magicians.

The Lover is the feeler. People like the seducer, poet, stalker, empath, healer, simp are all part of this.

And yes, all archetypes have their negatives and positives.

I notice that there are certain stages of our life when we men are fascinated by fighting. Usually in our youth or at an age when we realize how much strength in the body gives strength to the mind.

In a world that is safe, there is still part of us that recognize danger and wants to be prepared to overcome it.

If thoughts of fighting continue to follow you, your mind is nudging you to train. If am not mistaken, you are already taking martial arts class or in the process of doing so. It’s a good inspiration to hone your werrior spirit. And also learn to discipline it.

Like a wise man said,

“You should be a monster. An absolute monster. And then you should learn how to control it.”

Might want to check your lineage or something lol.

Make sure you’re not a last remnant of a violent scandinavian viking tribe with raiding history LOL

Did you overhear any strange mutterings when you were growing up?

Something like "we found him as a baby, deep within the ruins of Frostheim. Little is known where he came from - “Oh, hey buddy didn’t see you there! was just having a chat with your uncle”

I’m just saying, it’s good to rule these things out

You’re basically describing a thug

You are forgetting he said he is OBSESSED with it.

Nothing healthy nor alpha.

I’m not sure if these beliefs are healthy or not (since it’s honestly hard to tell from your description of it) but there does seem like a lot of repressed anger there. I will point out this:-

Sounds like you need to start doing martial arts. Once you’re in the ring, I suspect you’ll start getting more clarity on whether it’s recon, your subconscious nudging you to follow your passion or both.

Learn more about your self with this great book

a writer’s guide to characterization by Victoria Lynn Schmidt

highly recommended ,you are describing protector archetype . This is an easy digetable book and good entry to learn more about archetypal journey and concept .

THE PROTECTOR
• Is very physical, will fight to save others, enjoys travel, adventurous, in touch with his body. A good example is Rocky Balboa in Rocky.
• As a villain, the Protector becomes the Gladiator who is out for the lust of battle and blood.

Is Physically Centered
EXTRAVERTED: Loves external world and activities.
FEELING: Evaluates situations by his emotional response.
SENSATION: Receives information by means of the senses, great at looking and listening.

Have fun knowing your self is a blessing . :muscle::sparkles:

Maybe this is true and he expresses his anger in his own unique archetypal way . If he for example the fool archetype (also physically centred ) he will express his anger in conning others .
