im very curious why it is you don’t train when you have such a high regard to fighters

You should probably try training. Repressed and unexpressed feelings tend to take on an exaggerated scale in awareness.

Practical experiences are a reality check that can give you a more accurate sense of what’s happening internally.

The following comes from someone who was exactly in your shoes. I think there are two main issues: Lack of reliable information and, frankly, lack of social skills.

First, if you don’t regularly engage in competitive combat sports, you have no clue what your actual physical abilities are. If you train in something like boxing or BJJ, you will probably quickly realize that you suck. You probably know this on some level but don’t want to face this fact. By then training consistently, you will get a realistic self-image that is routed in real information and not fantasies.

Second, you seem to have an absurd view of what fighting prowess can do for you. The ability to beat up other people will have a very limited effect on your social status. It does give a certain confidence, which has a positive indirect effect. But social connections and abilities have much more to do with status. Even in a warzone, the person with connections will have higher chances of survival. And if people think you are a grounded normal person, they might actually have a positive view on you doing combat sports.

If you are ready to receive some tough love and want to know how this kind of behavior comes over to most people, watch the music video to “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters.

What are your injuries? Training can be adapted to accommodate a large range of injuries. Even if you can’t operate at your maximum, it’s better than nothing.

Herniated disk in the left side of the neck, everytime i use this arm to box it hurt so much for a long time.

Maybe i should do wrestling/bjj instead of muay thai.

Check with your doctor and make sure to train at a place where your training partners have their ego in check and everyone cares about safety.

Funny video that you might appreciate.

But for real it’s probably insecurity. How’s your own sense of personal power in your world? The idea of fighting might just seem appealing because a lot of people think they can fight innately. So it’s more enjoyable to fantasize about that then address the real issues coming up that are contributing to any perceived lack of status or personal power.

Ah, you don’t say. Yeah I’ve also been grazed by a battle axe in the heat of battle.

You’ll heal fine.

By the way… Odin needs you back in his frontline. These villages aren’t going to raid themselves mate.

In the name of Valhalla! Skål!
