Let’s say you’re running a 2 title stack. You want to go name embedded, what is better, 2 separate NE titles, OR 1 custom with 2 cores of said titles??
I guess it depends on your need and your vision.
Name embedded titles have longer scripts (exactly the same as standard store titles), cores only have core scripts without supporting scripts. One can choose add one module in name embedded titles or as it is, for customs one has to fill minimum five slots, e.g. three modules in this case. Name embedded titles are more focused, customs are more mix and match. Name embedded titles are more time consuming (in this case since one listens to two subs) while customs in this case count as one sub.
I personally find name embedded titles more suitable and effective for me as I used to get tripped up by the modules picked in customs, e.g. if one or more modules no longer clicked with me, I no longer wanted to listen to that custom, or if one module caused recon, the whole custom caused recon. Of course it is a unique me issue, so take it with a grain of salt.
A custom has the advantage that the cores are merged and thus work better together and have better synergies.
Also you get support scripting only once.
The six modules you’d have more is another topic. Can be a argument for a custom or against (as in chases case).
@SaintSovereign is 5 modules the new minimum amount of modules for a custom ?
I was still under the impression it’s 10
But it’s been so long since I made a custom
5 modules would be amazing tbh
10 is still the official minimum.
But you can open a ticket and ask for @QEngineer s permission. He knows best if the build will work with only 5 modules.
There were cases when 5 modules had enough content to create a custom.
See below. It’s the reply of support.
Lol, I’m 99% sure that Saint confirmed it in a thread early this year that the limit is as I stated above. But after a day of Sauna I’m to exhausted to look it up.
Not to contradict you, only to notice that support and founders sometimes differ in their communication.
I have a Custom with 3 modules .
Yes I noticed this also. I remember came across a few posts where the answers from support contradicted what the founders were advising (like you too tired for me to look them up now lol) In fact in one of them Saint pointed out directly support was wrong and he didn’t know why they answered that way.
