Hand stands against the wall, and hanging on a bar for time and allowing the spine to decompress.
I sit a lot, and I’ve started hand balancing throughout the day for a couple quick sets and this simple practice seems to be alleviating most of the upper body issues associated with it while also fixing lower body circulation.
Why?
When it comes to posture, it makes sense, you can’t hold a handstand without good alignment and strength. So it effortlessly strengthens and enforces good posture.
Blood flow is obvious, by inverting it changes the way your body circulates blood, helping eliminate retention in the lower body and get more blood to the brain and head.
Other benefits are shoulder health and strength. You can’t hold a handstand with messed up shoulders.
Start slow and be careful.
If you’ve never inverted or done a hand stand, the quick change in blood pressure could make you pass out lol.
