Pretty good freaking noon time.
Cooked gyudon-style beef for son and a salmon steak for wife with fusilli and a herb salad with balsamic vinegar.
Meanwhile, I’m back on my Nathan Lowell-shit. I love this man. He was a specialist in Education and Technology who branched off into fiction-writing at first via serialized podcasts. Now, he’s a full-time self-published author. He writes companionship and daily-life texture so well. There’s a unique kind of sensibility and feel to his writing. Some people say ‘nothing’s happening’. I love it. It’s probably particularly perfect for a highly introverted, HSP like me.
My only problem is that after he transitioned to full-time authorship, he stopped narrating his work. Probably high-effort low-reward. At least he narrated about 8 of his books so I can always go back to those. The dude’s narration just makes me happy.
As I cooked, I listened to his novel South Coast as PATHS ultrasonic played underneath. Used AudioShare and just had it on repeat. Still playing now. Guess I’m in the middle of my 3rd loop for the day. Feels good.
Gratitude.
