Back in 2008 or 2009 I bought a really good book. I’ve had it on my flash drive for years. I click on it, to open it up, and it said my free trial of zip has expired. What the hell? I’ve had this copy for years now I have to buy zip for about the same price of the book, just to read something that’s been mine for years?
Is this a scam or what?
You can’t unzip the zip? Download 7zip
When I click on the title, a box pops up and says my free trial for zip has expired. I’m using Windows 10, if that helps.
I’ve never encountered that. Can you send a screenshot or a video of you trying?
I’m not tech savvy at all. I’m not sure how to do it on windows 10
That’s ok. Just take a picture or video with your phone
Screenshot program
It’s not a scam. Just use 7zip from now on.
Hey I appreciate the help. I’ve upload the image to the thread. Once again thanks for the help. The link that you provided me with, is it a pretty secure sight with safe downloads? I’m talking about the 7 zip site.
Yes it’s safe
Hey I appreciate the help. I’ll do that tomorrow. I’m getting to bed.
Goodnight and thanks!
Goodnight. You’re welcome
@Gilligan - just to add to the conversation, 7zip is a free zipping and unzipping software so you don’t have to worry about whether it will do anything funny with your computer. You can trust it blindly. I have personally used it for years and years.
As long as it is directly from the main site, I guess.

If it is a regular .ZIP file, Windows itself should be able to open it.
Right-click on the file → Open with → Windows Explorer -
If it is not be a regular ZIP, but a different format,
7zip will open pretty much all zip formats. Just get it. -
Remember that your SubClub downloads are ZIP files too.
So, unzipping mastery is an essential skill for us.
7zip is fantastic, I haven’t used any other zip/unzip apps for a LONG time now.
Oh definitely. This was an old PDF that I downloaded back in 2008 or 2009. I never unzipped it. Back then it was never an issue. I could always open it up. Now, with the subclub zip, I immediately unzip.
