Which sub would be better to quiet the mind and enhance meditation practice, RoM or RoS?
That is literally what the description of RoM says:
- Develop stillness of the mind and an ability to engage in extremely deep concentration and deep thought — holding a singular idea in the mind for prolonged periods of time, allowing you to truly understand the object of your thought
- Develop profound meditative and introspective abilities, allowing you to dive deep into your psyche and understand how YOU work.
Buddhists might call this the monkey mind.
Meditation techniques to improve focus could include:
focusing on the breath only
focusing on a candle or mandala
focusing on a sound, mantra, chant (silently or aloud)
Although I’ve found meditation helpful, I also think it’s important to understand what might be causing it.
Nervousness? Could it be associated with something you ate? Did you drink a lot of caffeine recently?
Another way this manifests is having a song stuck in your head. Were you listening to music as you were going to sleep, or working on your phone, tablet, or computer?
Since running DR, my mental chatter has decreased. Perhaps Sanguine the Elixir might help.
QL is not for this, Khan overall especially Khan ST1 helps with this. Overall confidence and decisiveness is very important.
Besides, mind chatter is always there as @Tobyone said. It’s about changing them to more positive and empowering ones.
The only POSSIBLE way for purging entanglement(which is the root of mind chatter) is CONSISTENT meditation.
Even a guru with decades of meditation can get entangled if he stops meditation, especially when he is in new situations.
A title(s) to run alongside it would be RoM+RoS.
Don’t fight the mind
Watch it totally without engaging it
Like watching a movie
At the same time
Become aware of your senses AS your senses
See as much as possible
Hear as much as possible
Smell as much as possible
Feel your body from inside and outside as much as possible
Taste as much as possible with your tongue even while not eating(aware of your tongue)
Only awareness itself can dissolve the mind
Overwhelm the mind with life itself
the present is the key
When we are totally awake and aware of the present the mind cannot exist there with us
Rather then focusing on stopping the mind
Focus on remaining in the NOW
Remaining aware of being awareness dissolves the mind

this is what a lot of people do not understand.
it’s not always about the QUALITY of the thoughts.
if the QUANTITY is too high , it can still be a nightmare even of the quality is good.

i think of what is available right now QLM stage 3 is the best option.

I relate to a lot of what you guys are saying and i remember the first time i ran EMP Q and it was like the specifc cure to all these problems, the mental clarity and pure relaxed presence in the moment was actually unbelievable. it was like the pill to solve all “mental illness” and emotional/stress problems. best subliminal experience in my life.
