You need some tatami matts or a wooden doll
Don’t need anything right now except the bokken and a few YouTube videos on how to perform a proper cut. If there’s a Kendo or Kenjutsu school nearby, you can usually score a free introduction class and learn the basics.
Remember to focus on the internal aspects of the art, as there’s great wisdom in it.
