I’m just wondering (still ) if the Club has any plans to address their products to people who don’t speak English. Maybe it’s too soon to try to expanded the business to such a high degree like entering the Chinese or the Spanish speaking market but just wondering if it was only the matter of translating the script and advertising on those markets to do so.
I don’t think it’s that simple. Note that subliminals “talk” to your subconscious. To do so, the subliminal must also take into account the various nuances of the language being used. Not only do you have to think of the different pronunciations, but also the conjugations of the words and more. Also, note that you need to think of the “cultural” connotations and interpretations of each translated sentence. This is actually why sometimes it seems weird when you listen to or read directly translated text. If it was simply translating the script, then I think @SaintSovereign and @Fire would have just run the scripts through Google Translate and built the resulting sub.
Of course I meant translating it by a native speaker of Spanish or Chinese who would be proficient in English. What kid of idiot would use an electronic translator let alone Google Translate anyway?
The point is the Chinese market is immense and Chinese people are more business oriented and much more ambitious than the average Joe so they would be extremely interested in SC products. The Spanish market would be more interested in sex, romance, social and status products I suppose.
No offense, Joe, and thank you for the “like”.
Going into a new country market is big enough, adding in a different language and culture and it’s a far bigger undertaking than most people realize. It’s definitely not as simple as translating the scripts and throwing up a sales page variation.
I meant no disrespect when I responded. Please forgive me if I rubbed you the wrong way. However, the point still stands. They talked to linguists and psychologists when preparing their scripts. Even if they were able to have a native speaking translator translate the scripts to that language, the nuances of how the brain understands the subliminal message should still be taken into account. For that, they would also need to verify with linguists and psychologists who not clearly speak and understand that language.
Yeah, there are many factors that should be taken into account yet the idea is really prospective and potential gains surpass the cost.
We’re cool, mate
What was said in bold <= Maybe I’m just a total ignorant but I suppose there’s no way to measure it.
But yes, the translator should have a deeper understanding of the cultural/mentality nuances. For instance in some cultures there is a mentality which says you should do opposite to what you were told And many nuances of that kind.
Maybe, but it also adds a TON of complexity, the need for additional support, and not to mention opening the doors to intellectual property issues. Factors like that can easily overwhelm a small company. Things are almost NEVER as simple as armchair consultants think they are.
Case in point… I’ll take business advice from other business owners, but generally not from someone who has only ever been an employee and merely has an opinion on what they think I should do.
Same reasoning of only taking parenting advice from other parents, rather than childless acquaintances who may have never even held a crying baby, let alone calmed one down multiple times per day.
Or more likely, the team of translators, psychologists, hypnotists, Mandarin fluent subliminal specialists, teachers, focus group participants, and so on. It can definitely be done but it’s a major undertaking. Less like expanding the company, and closer to starting a new company.
Holding onto proprietary methods and intellectual property also gets more complicated the more additional parties you involve.
An exciting idea, but also a big one. There’s a certain inevitability to it. Somebody’s going to do it, if they haven’t already. But the current quality of Sub Club needs to be maintained. Since it’s working well, organic growth’s the prudent choice.
Unfortunately this won’t be happening any time soon.
I suppose not, it was rather about flagging up an idea than trying to advice you or playing an expert.
I’m sure you’ve got plenty of ideas on your own, was just wondering.
To do that it’s like you give away your most protected secret.
I don’t see it as a possibility for subliminalclub
It’s about translating the script only, you don’t have to brag you own a well prosperous subliminal company, just say “good morning”, “translate it, please” and done.
And if you give it to somebody who is clever/sneaky they steal your work(maybe)
So you would have to marry a Chinese woman, spend with her at least 25 years and only the let her translate your scripts.
Subliminalclub did you hear that.
Marry a Chinese woman
Fast please
And Spanish Women?
How long until you trust Spanish Women?
How many Years
Spanish women make excellent lovers not wives, mate.
How long for Spanish Women?
Chinese 25 years until translation
Spanish😅Years until translation
In my country we used to say; don’t trust your horse, dog and wife so… like one American sang; 'trust nobody", and something about a big house and five cars.
