Dysfunctions show,
when your fuel tank’s low
But the fuel tank can get low for all kinds of reasons, helpful and unhelpful.
I think that in general, you’re moving on a path of evolution. Positive, growth-related activities can get you just as tired and strung-out as negative, growth-undermining ones.
This is just a long way to say, you recently got up, got busy and got out the house. You focused your attention on long-term goals, planning, and trying to get things where you want them to be. This takes energy, and we, understandably, tend to pursue it in a get-this-shit-done-as-quickly-as-possible fashion. That can lead, temporarily, to tiredness and stress. To cope with those we sometimes turn to our less-than-functional coping habits.
But I think you’re just finding your sea-legs.
The more that you successfully adjust, the more your tank will be filling up again. You’ll end up stronger than you were before you started.
