@Sarshet please stop telling multiple people that they are all the same person, your account hasn’t made a useful contribution to this forum since 2019, at this time you’re the only one trolling that I can see. We’ve even considered if maybe the account was hacked since it wasn’t active for two years and is now only posting useless content. I’ll take the liberty to delete your messages in this thread now. You’re welcome.
@Prome I sympathize with you. For me it started around 26 I think. It wasn’t until late 30’s that I finally came to terms with it and started to trim it short. But I still tell the barber not to show the back of my head with the mirror.
I’m also still looking for natural solutions to fix it. Anything to get the blood flowing to the scalp to clean out the DHT from my hair follicles. It’s possible to slow it down (and even reverse it according to some testimonies) with certain massages and muscle exercises (this extremely frustrating one). Having one of those laser helmets also seems to stimulate blood flow. I managed to hold it back for years.
The worst thing is I sometimes ask people how old they think I am, because my skin looks very young. But as soon as the balding kicked in they started guessing me 10 years older. Very demoralizing.
One thing I tell myself when I find myself thinking about it is that it means I’m a masculine man. Male pattern baldness is caused by DHT, a byproduct of testosterone. So I tell myself I must have a LOT of testosterone to get bald. That, and remind myself that I’m fortunate enough not to get grey hairs either.
There might actually be some truth in this. I once attended a fitness seminar and the presenter came up and told us how he wasn’t considered a real fitness expert. He then showed a slide with dozens of photos of the world’s most well-known fitness experts. Most of them were bald. He wasn’t.
And even if it’s not true, it does give me a little bit of a good feeling.
As far as hair transplants go, the more expensive methods take like 3/4 of a follicle and go hair by hair. Leaves no scars and there’s a small chance the original follicle will heal and grow new hair. That method should not be bothered by the size of the donor area. I don’t know your specific situation though.
Also keep in mind that even if you could do one successfully, what they don’t tell you is that the transplanted hair will eventually suffer the same fate and you’ll be bald again.
Anyways, you’re not alone. And if I knew a fool-proof solution I would tell you right away.
@G-mac I’d like to think that on my best day I can look like Jason Statham on a bad hair day. I wouldn’t describe Jason as “looking like shit”. But you did say most men.
@Brandon As stated below I’m letting this one slide. I also know that Saint has told us Prome is probably going through something and it won’t be forever. But you should flag any offensive posts. They are in fact considered and discussed during staff meetings.
Now, for the house-cleaning messages, Prome’s message to [mod edit: name removed for privacy] is inappropriate and will be deleted. Given the circumstances I’ll pretend it never existed.
As a result of me deleting that and Sarshet’s messages I’ll be deleting that entire little conversation, since it would be out of context. Let’s keep it nice, please.
