@Budewr to address this I recommend trying a dopamine fast. It’s a tough but very doable challenge to really reset your mind,body, and spirit. Basically by avoiding all dopamine spiking activities for a full day you’ll gain better control over these urges and more clarity and focus in your life.
What to avoid during dopamine detox: food, cell phones, internet, computers, TV, video games, reading, consuming of any kind really
What you can do: journal, meditate, light exercise, nap haha
It seems really boring and is kind of tough to do in a way simply because of how overstimulated we are with all of our electronics, but honestly I found it to be one of the most rewarding challenges I’ve ever done and helped me a lot when I was feeling the same way as you.
