There’s a lot more than that. Definitely not as active as the main forum though (edit: 12 topics/journals updated with a date of this year, to give a better benchmark).
I still use it for that very same reason, as a safe locked space I can journal in that isn’t open to J Random Nosy Internet User. I’m not always using the original Alchemist or such but I’m always running some kind of Black or Artisanal title in my stack, so it fits.
Other people probably use it for the same as well still. Although to be honest I have started to consider either offline private journalling, a public spiritual blog, or some combination of the two. Tbh I’ve never really liked the idea of a publicly accessible journal ever since the internet became a playground for hackers and stealers of personal information, it’s like waving a red flag in front of a bull saying “hey! guys! over here! bet you can’t guess who I am by piecing together what I blog about! yeah boy!”
