One common feature that could make for a good battle ground.
How do these two titles deal with the phenomenon of feeling “not good enough.”
The average man responds to his own inferiority with over-compensation
Overcompensating at work, or overcompensation in social dynamics.
Work: This is the guy who looks super successful on the surface, but, is working hard (and posting about all his work) just to overcompensate for a perceived sense of inferiority.
Social: This is the guy who tries to look like really successful people like him, that he is really “cool” and he can “network” with successful people, he tries to get jacked, he tries to look like the guy he thinks everyone wants to be around.
He eventually accomplishes all of these things, but they’re just items on a check list. They’re not embodied senses. If he ever lost his job, or his friends, or his girlfriend, his sense of self-esteem would be ripped away from him.
How can the Executive and True Social help someone become HIGHLY social and successful, without using shame or overcompensation as a driver?
I’d love to see that addressed in both titles so we can see which expression was better.
