People outside North America.? Specifically the United States

You’re right, the money has to come from somewhere.

It’s just crazy that the UK has similarish total tax levels to certain states in the USA while getting certain benefits that people in these states don’t.

And it’s fine I know what u meant lol.

It’s the education system that’s gone downhill not the country.

Everything said and done there is no amount you could pay me to live in the USA. “No tax” isn’t even enough of an incentive. For all the reasons you mentioned, aka no health care, gun laws, and just the general extremity of the US, I wouldn’t ever want to live there.

The craziest thing to me about the US is the media and how brainwashed everyone is in the US by their media. Either left wing right wing or even just non political media… everyone is spewing other opinions no one has any thoughts of their own - the US is media obsessed, and the media is obsessed with thought control.

It’s so strong that, since we receive US tv, even Canadians care more about American politics than Canadian.

I literally have to be full time “News Sober” just to step away from it all and not feel crazy all the time

At the moment, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere but America :us:

But sure, as probably more than America, many people trust Authority more than their own thoughts. It is Authority and not only media that should be questioned and certainly not blindly complied with. That is my trouble with this decade, not any particular country.

One problem I have with the US is the measurement system

Funny sketch about imperial measures

I had a feeling this thread would derail.
But it’s all in good fun… I look at life through a lens of good humor.

There are plenty of truisms and/ or generalities that those who are less self aware probably do. I like to travel and have witnessed some of the complaints levied against my countrymen too. Haha

Speaking very generally…

“We Europeans” mock the US because we always compare the US by our European standards. And when we do so, the US almost always loses in most comparison points.

Yes. It is dirty, dangerous and expensive. Nasty cold humid winters added on top. Pizza is good though.

Again, I am comparing with European and First World Asian cities and this is all my personal opinion only.

Either way, with subconscious reprogramming I am going to manifest better experiences regardsless where I go and which country I visit.

Y’all need to chill out, I’m obviously not talking about literally every single person. It’s a general sentiment echoed by many people and their lived experiences.

For every great person there’s 4 other bozos, and that’s not exclusive to one country.

I actually think bombayduck’s posts are less problematic than the outright political posts that are apparently ok now.

I think the biggest problem with his post was, that he didn’t state that he is Canadian himself.

Did you flag said posts?

We are simply incredibly busy preparing for NFTW and can’t read every post. If you flag it, it will get reviewed. @RVconsultant is VERY diligent and thoughtful on this. But I trust @DarkPhilosopher, rv and the entire crew. If they don’t find something problematic, then it probably wasn’t.

ROFL, I responded to this before scrolling down and seeing that @RVconsultant already did. My above point in example.
