I have noticed that the rules for doing magick are the same rules for communicating effectively with the unconscious.
I’m not the first person to have noticed this, but I have noticed it.
"Wait a minute! Is it possible that the thoughts I’m having right now are the result of the modules at work on my mind?"
Okay.
Put your cognitive content to the side for a moment, and just take a look at your energy levels.
You’ll find a good indication there. Track those energy levels.
Felt lower level of energy and enthusiasm today. Also, I found myself processing issues that trouble me in my current and past life.
I really gave myself a lot of time to talk and think about it, and, subjectively (in line with the low energy), there was a sense of being unsure if I was getting anywhere with it.
I also did some work that I was planning to do. It was not a day of paralysis. Just that the overarching atmosphere was of low energy and processing troubling issues.
Then at a certain point in the evening, it hit me: Pride Unbroken. FEBRUUS.
After aggressive exposure to those modules in the past 3 weeks, might this be a strong response to those modules?
Really gave me food for thought.
Another very interesting note, synchronicitously:
On the day when I finally stopped the intensive exposure to my stack, a literal thunder and lightning storm broke in my region. At the same time, I was called upon to assist with a major crisis that was going on in someone’s life.
It felt very much connected. And I had a sense of the power of what I’d been working with.
It occurred to me, for example, that an unstable mind that is overloaded on Spiritual Reality Alignment might actually align or attune with disruptive external elements as well as internal elements. (That module is very much about external and internal alignment.)
So, yes; that was interesting.
Can you elaborate? My magickal endeavors and knowledge are very… Basic at current time.
Me too. I still feel like a beginner. Not in time spent, but in progress made.
I’m happy this way.
I like my vistas large.
one example:
conscious awareness is like what is above ground
unconscious awarenesses are like what is beneath the surface or within the earth
an intention to manifest is a seed.
When planting a seed:
check that it is healthy and coherent. Not cracked and damaged.
Then dig a hole of sufficient depth.
It’s best to choose nutrient-rich soil. There should be food available to feed that seed.
Plan on watering that spot. Or if you live in a rain-rich climate, then let that happen naturally.
and finally, when all has been properly arranged….
At that point, you do not see the seed anymore. The soil is not just a warm, nutrient-rich setting, it is also a barrier to your direct engagement. You do not see or interact with the seed anymore. It is out of your conscious awareness. At this point, you have let go. You have released it and entrusted it to the guidance of the unconscious processes, the magick.
After that point, we know what will happen if you keep digging up the seed to check on its progress. Or if you try to physically pull it out to supposedly ”aid” its growth. (In Chinese, the expression for that is 拔苗助長, or ‘pulling the sprout to help it grow’. Ends up with a dead sprout.)
So, you ‘forget’ the seed. Instead, you focus on weeding, tilling the land, nourishing the land. And in return, the land generously nourishes the seeds.
The ‘Land’ is the Unconscious. The process of Farming, magick.
Man, this explanation of concious and unconcious mind is simple and profound!
What are my issues? What are my problems?
What’s my journey? What’s my path?
What am I working to overcome?
I’m an HSP.
Up with insomnia again, but gradually winding down.
Lots to figure out still. About this bodymind.
Let’s keep going.
I suspect that I could be involved in reconciliation, but that I’m just not paying much attention to it.
Ever tried Yoga Nidra?
I think I actually did at one point. I was using an I Am mantra for a while a few years ago. Is that the same thing?
What have you gained from that practice? Want to share?
Yoga Nidra is a practice where you move consciousness around the body in a specific manner.
I have a CD I bought many years ago that I use when practicing. Very effective at inducing very deep states of profound relaxation.
The sound quality is crap. I think it was recorded with a tape-recorder long time ago, but it is the real deal. Most of the others are not.
Here’s what I often forget during more intense reconciliation:
Sustained exposure leads to adaptation.
In this case, it’s a potential positive.
The difficult realities that I don’t want to face will grow less overwhelming to me as I continue to face them.
It’s like Damon Brand writes:
Routine’s about to change again.
Right now, I wake up when my son needs to get up. Keep him on track to catch the bus at 6:45 am. Then usually am in meditation by 7.
School’s out soon. He’ll have a more forgiving morning situation. So, we’ll see how I approach the mornings.
I worked quietly for 11 months to lay the foundations for what is now my flagship custom: NAISSANCE.
From May 24 2020, when I first began to meditate with Mind’s Eye Terminus2; to July 11, 2020 when I began the stages of Alchemist and Quantum Limitless. And finally to April 30 2021, when I completed that very heavy stack and prepared for this lighter, focused, and Qv2-supercharged stack.
We’re wired to not-know certain things; and it’s very helpful, but it also can potentially backfire.
There’s something that’s known to 1) people who meditate or concentrate deeply, 2) people who engage in certain types of drug use, and 3) people who just have very deep sleeps or naps.
In those three conditions, one can have the experience of perceiving the world from a very non-ordinary state or observing the world with eyes that have only just returned from a non-ordinary state.
The basic effect is the same: the so-called ‘normal’ world appears not normal at all. New. Strange. Fresh.
If one repeats this experience enough times, a certain awareness arises: Ordinariness is a sense impression. It is neurologically (and endocrinally) generated. It is not a characteristic of the world itself. In fact, no perceptions are characteristics of the world itself. They are all neurologically-generated. Whether you believe that these neurological generations are relatively fixed responses to an objectively unchanging and knowable referent phenomenal condition (i.e, ‘the material, physical world’) or whether you think that something quite else may be going on here, the fact remains that are perceptions and sensations are generated within the nervous system.
This means that the sensation of ‘ordinary’ is no different in fundamental character than the sensation ‘red’ (or, for that matter, the sensation ‘mind-blowing’).
They’re all sensations.
This is the context of the Non-Dual practice of Neti, Neti. ‘not this, not that’.
hmm…well, just some thoughts.
Almost EVERY statement that a person makes about reality is a decision, not a truth.
Recognition of the fact that it is a decision, and not a truth, makes it no less powerful and no less real.
It simply reframes the rules and the site—the context—of engagement.
It means, in essence, that you are contending not with larger nature, but simply with human will–a legitimate force in its own right.
Human beings will continually masquerade our decisions as Truths. We do this not because we are evil, nefarious, schemers of conspiracy; but because doing so allays our constant sense of anxiety. We wish to feel the elusive security of being True and owning Truth. Even the illusion of that security is compellingly addictive to us, at a very fundamental level.
