What a great read. I typed quite a long post but decided against posting it. Somethings I’ve realized are too personal and wouldn’t be useful to the topic at hand.
I don’t know if this post will be useful as well, but I trust SC and their implementation.
That being said, I feel for this character. The desire to be accepted, to belong, the frustration and the realization that life isn’t fair. One who didn’t win the proverbial cosmic lottery.
I also get how it felt to be played by people more powerful than he was. Underestimated, abandoned, played, betrayed and humiliated.
Outside, looking in. Always wondering what it feels like to live a certain way, or at least to have a “normal” life.
Also understood the intense desire to succeed, to transcend and break the limitations imposed on him by other human beings.
What gives anyone the right to dictate what heights a man can go? And yet as a society, it is what it is… but why should he?
If the game is rigged by the very programmers, this guy brings a game shark.
Bow out gracefully? No.
The character is a force of nature, and a colossus. You can’t keep someone like that down. His destiny is a certainty, no matter if everyone agrees or not.
Thing is, the character by some stroke of fortune is gifted in so many ways that it doesn’t matter if he started with a bad hand; his will, character, intelligence and determination alone can move mountains. Not everyone gets to get out of the life he left behind and yet he did, so in some ways he’s probably blessed by fortune.
If this isn’t close to Stark, I think be a great bonus if at least it had that lucky strike I seem to get while running it.
Starting life with a bad hand can break people. Many lose before they even played. I am looking forward to a title that will change that. To bend reality itself and change it to one’s liking.
Looking back at my own life, if I could give my younger self some attributes ala RPG game. Social ability, intelligence, productivity, incredible confidence and self esteem. The iron frame to stand his ground and dare to challenge the most powerful puppeteers.
Charisma and attraction is always a great bonus.
A gazelle cannot negotiate with a lion. I want that lion inside when needed and necessary.
I see this character as a rebel (cause why should he accept what he does not want?), but with a great vision, a goal and though not a not a nice guy, in the end a force for good.
It’s easy to be saint when you’re in paradise. He’s seen the ugly, and that fueled his desire for the good.
Or at the very least the good life.
No penny pinching. Something too expensive? He’ll make more money then. He gets what he wants.

I liked the mention of Khan Black. In my testing, I’ve had the best experience with KB ST1. In that short cycle, I felt alive, vigorous and I wanted to tackle and try new things. I’ve ran a marathon for the first time in my life, tried ice skating, archery etc.
For a moment I felt that youthful exuberance I’ve been missing for quite some time. I don’t know what is in KB 1 but there’s something there that I truly enjoyed.
I believe, great sexual energy is key for those who have a high ambition. I think it’s that nitro than can propel one to the heavens if he wants to.
The story made me look back on so many things. It’s definitely going to be on my mind. Regardless I am looking forward to this title.
