I thought it might be interesting to have a thread where we could put our hopes and expectations for the upcoming year.
It’s been a challenging year for me, but it’s ending on multiple highs. I can’t remember the last year end with such a palpable feeling of growth and change to come in the new year for me.
My expectations.
- Less focus on career, more focus on personal development.
- I may look at changing jobs this year to better fit my life circumstances (due to 1). Possibly look at changing careers.
- Start looking into buying a remote property for my eventual retirement, possibly in Vermont. This will take a while, it needs to be perfect for my long term needs.
- Deep dive back into esoteric practices, which took a back seat for a few years while I was focused on building a successful career. I’m really keen on exploring the darker paths this time to balance previous work.
- Build a forge and learn blacksmithing.
