@SaintSovereign Since New RM is your next title, is there any update or sneak peak you can give us?

Hmmm… well, I think people need to remember that ultimately, this is a title about creativity. The nature of creativity and how to channel your creativity into meaningful action. It is the absolute core of this title, designed to help you transform into a creative force of nature.

To help with the conversation, let me pose a few questions: What is “creativity” anyway? What is the nature of creativity? What is the source of creativity?

Everyone is going to have a different answer. That’s what makes this title difficult to create. It’s like Heartsong in that regard, where everyone’s idea of a soulmate differs. The best way to get your idea included is by illustrating what results you’d like to see after a six month run.

I think creativity is the ability to, consciously or unconsciously, apply a unique or novel perspective or way of thinking to some kind of process. Connecting concepts across disciplines apply since it would be novel to the domain that the current activity is being done in. That would mean that inherently, creativity doesn’t necessarily need to be for what’s traditionally required as art, since life is just a collection of domains.

Ideally for me, I’d like to see myself become an embodiment of creativity and innovation in my day-to-day, even outside of traditionally artistic endeavors. It also makes the title seem more generalizable to the typical Renaissance Man label given to people in history. Embody the creativity to every aspect of your life. Maybe some kind of cognitive enhancement similar to Beyond Limitless in concept but ASBR in application in how it relates to the title would fit.

I’d also like to echo from a previous suggestion that I think a dedicated fame and no fame version should be made. ASBR feels like the big fame title right now without any counterparts. The super famous CEO archetype is nice, but what about the arguably greater number of famous artists that exist right now?

I think that creativity, practiced effectively in the world, is a multi-level phenomenon. That’s what makes it tricky to conceptualize.

On some levels, it looks like vagueness, openness, high-flexibility.

On other levels, it can look like intense focus, rigor, even highly strict proceduralization and solution-focus.

There’s a science fiction trope with which most people are familiar:

A mysterious craft, pod, or organic vessel floats down quietly and lands (or crashes) somewhere on planet Earth. A being of some sort emerges. It is fluid, amorphous, possibly amoeba-like. Then, depending on who or what it first encounters (within some threshold of acceptability criteria), the being adapts, takes a form, and mimics or copies the appearance, behaviors, language, and mannersism of some particular sub-group/sub-type of human being. At that point, the story changes (depending on the genre), and we have a sci-fi comedy, sci-fi horror, classical sci-fi, or what haver you. In any case, the being expresses high competency in learning and mastering life among the humans.

This to me is a good metaphor of the creativity and focused effective flexibility of the Renaissance Person.

  • Frame Sensitivity and Context Flexibilty - like a kaleidoscope or a rubik’s cube, the mind can smoothly shift the same elements into multiple iterative configurations. A kind of Paradigmatic Multi-lingualism

  • Ontological/Epistemological Humility - Not overly attaching to one way fo being, or one way of knowing as ‘THE RIGHT WAY’. Recognizing such ‘confidence’ as the prison it potentially is

  • High Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Pattern Improvisation -

  • Synthesis and Integration Across (seemingly) Disparate Paradigms

  • So-called Inductive and Deductive Reasoning Skills

  • Transcendence of simplistic or conventional hierarchies of evaluation - A true genius can learn from the chants of children as easily as from the lectures of academics. The pattern is EVERYWHERE to be observed and studied.

Those are more on the levels of intellect and contextual frame

But equally compelling (and often much less recognized and discussed) are the HEART and MOTIVATION of the Renaissance Person.

  • Field fluency: The ability to and enjoyment of diving into the WORLD of an individual, a group, a tradition—for its own sake. Not to “win” or to “defeat” someone, but out of skillful, deft love of the patterns themselves.

Remember the lines from Sting in Shape of My Heart:

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn’t play for the money he wins
He doesn’t play for respect

He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

Those lines are describing how a Renaissance Man plays poker.

And then, there’s also a deep and abiding love and capacity of love that coexists with the obvious intellectual gifts of the Renaissance Person. Modern mythologies would have us believe that the renaissance man exists in a vacuum of self-made aloofness. Not true. Not true. There is a deep heart and capacity for connection that grounds the Renaissance Person. It may not be the conventionally narrow projection of attachment onto an Idealized Other, but it is vital, grounding, and extremely important nonetheless.

The Renaissance Person loves humanity, loves beings, and loves specific individuals. They just do so without sacrificing their ongoing engagement with exploring Reality itself. That love actually fuels and grounds their process and makes it sustainable. The love gives their genius a meaningful context within which to unfold. By love, I do not mean idealizing and depending others, or emotionally imprisoining and binding oneself or others. I mean maintaining an openhearted, openminded engagement with the reality of who and what is ‘Beyond Me’. Emotionally-integrative ego-transcendence. In short: Getting Over Oneself.

There’s much more to say here, but need to get back to the day job.

years ago,if I remember correctly,at the time ,my stack was RM,RM:UWX and RoM。I was writing my novel that day, suddenly ,I felt like someone whispered something into my ears…murmuring something so vague that I barely discriminate the words, yet, clear enough to provoke an emotional reaction。So I captured it and transformed it into a passage,it is something so unique that I never write anything like that before and after。this experience I dont know what to make out of it,call it inspired by the inner muses ?possessed by the inner creativity ?whatever it is ,I just want to experience it more consistently…every time I do my creative project。 :grinning:

Trust in the creative downloads from above and the willingness and ease in making them into form.

Sacral energy, generation and the ability for it to be life and practice sustaining. A lot like the Ascension Stabiliser.

“Dominate” through sheer presence, self satisfaction and zero need to please anyone (judges, critics, naysayers, trolls)

I have always found the wikipedia entry for creativity to be very illuminating. It showcases just how vast a field creativity is and how there are many different approaches to understand, classify, and describe it.

After a six month run I want to have already left my job or be in the process of leaving my job, and pursue my goals, dreams, and purpose in life full time in the creative medium of my choosing.

I want to have the courage and confidence to pursue my new career as an artist and have the financial prosperity, or at least the financial launchpad, that would allow me to leave my current job and not hang on to it due to comfort or security.

I want the creativity to produce transcendent work that is in high demand and have a reputation as a bankable artist who is critically and commercially acclaimed.

  • Drive and consistency to produce practice daily and complete small regular.
  • Same passion I had or storytelling and art that I had as a teenager.
  • Ambition to sell or enter my work in contests.
  • Comfort/motivation with mistakes, failures and struggles.

I’m a simple man. I don’t need mind blowing results. What I ‘need’

After 1 month I am in awe. In awe of my environment, the people, my own inner landscape, my throught processes, internal and external ideas and concepts. I see the world through new eyes, listen to it through opened ears with an open mind. I am explosively enthusiatic about life and joyfully calm at the same time. My ability to translate and express what I experience is skyrocketing. I try new things, rediscover old ideas, hobbies and generally have started to explore and experiment. My sleep is deeply regenerating and I integrate and expand on my waking life in my dreams. Every day I wake up with a deep sense of satisfaction and bubbly zest for life to dive into a new day with invigorating energy.

After 3 months I have calibrated to my changed perception of the world. But every now and then I am awed again deeply out of the blue. Curiosity and newfound understanding are my steady companions. I have established creativity routines and experimentation corners that I revisit every day, even if only for half an hour at a time. I absorb ideas and inspiration like a sponge but am never overwhelmed by them. People are drawn in by my vision of the world – I am igniting their imagination and sense of wonder. My mind is clear and full of ideas at the same time. I can think deeply about any one subject, but I can also step back and enjoy the semi-automatic vision how several ideas play out and mix in parallel. I have gained a fine-grained control over this part of my mind. My ability to notice and fully observe interesting things in my surroundings has grown a lot.

After 6 months I am leveraging the generosity of some new friends to set up a dedicated workspace to experiment and create. I have many written notes and recorded audio messages about ideas and initial projects I want to explore deeper. New ways to solve every day problems that I can easily implement with a bit of time and dedicated effort. Science news have become a way to bolster and complement my imagination. Doodling and sketching things has become normal and a form of active meditation for me. My appreciation for sound, taste, touch, vision – all my senses and the sensuality they invoke in me – has grown tremendously over the past months. Emotionally I have never been more open while inhabiting an absolutely calm inner core of pure me. My comfort zone has expanded over and over again. The world is becoming my playground. People invite me to all sorts of venues. My ability to connect with others is godly. I am enjoying to be social, I am enjoying to tinker alone in my workspace. I have endless energy but never burn out.

For me being a renaissance man is being able to own whatever domain you decide to enter.
Combining them in ways particular to you.
And being truly more YOU
So after 6 months I’d want RM to help me enter into domains I’ve forgot about throughout adulthood or neglected
Be it physical social intellectual

Great ideas, everyone –

Keep 'em coming.

Also, I’ll give a fun update: I was going to run Heartsong Stage 1 as my next title. Nah, I’m waiting for Renaissance Man. I love how it’s coming out.

Would love it if New RM gave you a mindset similar to champion figure skater Alysa Liu.

There’s nothing to lose. Nothing is stressful or hard. She connects to everything but isn’t attached to anything. Not concerned with the outcome. It’s easy for her. She flows.

What I love most about her is that she has an undeniably fun time skating. She’s never not smiling. You can see the utter joy every time she skates. She’s not thinking of a gold medal. She’s just in the moment and having fun.

This can apply to New RM. Being creative and pursuing your passion and purpose in life would be more fun than anything else in life. Working on your craft would be like a kid having fun at recess. You’d love creating your art more than having money, accolades, fame, or sex. Those things would just be the byproduct of New RM.

How does a well traveled , educated, talented Renaissance Man have sex, what is different about the way he sets it in motion, also is he great at chess and other games?

When I read this I thought of The Most Interesting Man In The World from the Dos Equis commercials.

“He once parallel parked a train"
“He can speak French… in Russian”
“He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it felt”
"Sharks have a week dedicated to him”

That guy is cool.

New RM should make you irresistibly cool. The coolest cat in the room.
