I’m currently at the last stage of the OG Dragon Reborn and will be transitioning to the upgraded version soon. What actions or practices have you found most beneficial while running this sub? Are there any specific routines or habits that have enhanced your experience and supported the healing process?
When I did one year of the original version, heavy bag training helped me a lot. It released strong emotions and provided exhausting physical work, so that the mind would follow.
Could Love Bomb function Well with this?
Why wouldn’t it?
Im hesitant about mixing anything with healing titles, thinking the healing titles can reduce results from the other titles.
Learning to love yourself will probably make healing easier
The only time you have to be careful in this sort of cases is stacking (mental/emotional) healing titles with productivity titles. For example, combining DRR with a title like Limitless.
This is not always the case but in general productivity can take an initial hit when we are in the healing phase which is why that example combo wouldn’t work as well.
But titles like Sanguine and Love Bomb could help improve results with DRR since they assist with the process through confidence and love respectively.
Throughout my last cycle where I ran DRR1, I was constantly urging myself that more self-love would be helpful in running it. The reconciliation can be tough to navigate through, which resulted in me being harsher on myself than I prefered. If you are not where you’d like to be in life (likely the case if you’re interested in DRR), it can be exceedingly easy to tear yourself apart out of self-blame or self-condamnation.
Now I’m halfway through my DRR2 run, and I have stacked it with Love Bomb (and Khan Black 4). The processing has been smooth, and I have been kinder to myself than I otherwise would be with all that is being dug up for addressing/healing. Dealing with difficult external occurrences has also been facilitated considerably.
Trust your intuition if you’re wondering about pairing DRR with Love Bomb - forgiving and loving yourself for where you are now will aid in your transformation to a healthier you.
Didn’t Saint also advice against stacking different healing titles because different healing approaches can mess you up?
At least that’s what I read recently.
Or is this only correct for customs?
Like combining CfW and Phoenix in a custom?
Depends on the intensity of the healing. Since for example, you can combine Elixir and Regeneration but yes combing something like DRR and Phoenix can be too much.
Also I was only giving one example of what not to combine with DRR. And comparing that with what can be combined with DRR.
EDIT: also our friend was asking about reducing results of certain titles when combined with DRR and I was giving an example of how productivity could go down when combining a title like Limitless with DRR. But not the same (reduction of results) when you combine a title like Sanguine (or Love Bomb) with DRR.
Less is more. Slowly but surely. Most likely you’ll be able to appreciate the experienced than having a lot of them at once, then afterwards you can take a lot of them in a faster rate.
I get the point behind microloops and do it myself but despite what anyone says less is less and more is more. It’s either or.
Not trying to start a disagreement but that phrase gets old after a while
LB and DRR ST1 is a powerful healing combo. Didn’t run it for the full cycle together, only 3 listening days stacked.
It helped untangle a huge emotional knot for me for when I had a weekend to myself. May not be the best stack if one has to be on the ball at work. If one has some time to themselves to process and let go then I highly recommend it.
Currently running DRR ST2 with HS and HOM and it’s smooth sailing so far while on vacation.
If I recall correctly you are into web development? You could get a foot in the door by looking for smaller web agencies in your region that are looking for employees. They usually need good people but don’t have the high barriers for joining like the big firms have. Mostly no standardized coding interviews, don’t look for degrees (just for the craft), etc. They just need good people to get the job done (and have some fun too
A common boxing maxim that reigns true, as someone who trained for over a decade. When learning how to throw proper punches, slow is smooth and smooth is strong. Get the form right, and the technique will look smooth. When you start seeing smooth technique, your punching power actually increases.
Same concept. Less is more. There isn’t a single thing that one “practices” or engages in on Earth where overdoing it leads to faster results. In the gym, you push yourself, but you don’t go overboard or you’ll actually hurt results because you can’t even exercise regularly due to injury.
Overexposing yourself does nothing to help you at all.
Let me add a bit more of a shocker, @James.
Sometimes both @SaintSovereign and myself completely start over with whatever we are learning or doing.
We just…
Take all our experience and just…
Toss it all out.
gasp
I’ll give you an example. I’ve done martial arts for a couple years (not as much as @SaintSovereign though, guy’s a beast and has jabs like cannons) and am able to hold my own with solid technique. Nonetheless, couple months back I wanted to refine my striking game - so I did an experiment for a bit and signed up for a complete beginner boxing class.
And I went in there, like a complete, absolute beginner, just to have the instructors correct me even if it was an intentional mistake.
Why?
To get a different perspective and to have that viewpoint of a fresh-faced beginner who never did any martial arts at all. Because when you are at that beginner level, EVERYTHING is an opportunity.
You don’t see the limitations that experience puts on you.
And guess what?
It absolutely did help my striking technique.
People like to rush ahead, getting more and more advanced and fancy techniques, concepts and ideas. But refining a basic idea to its absolute mastery, and then pushing it beyond that - is what extraordinary and superhuman feats are made out of.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is strong.
Love the James Reece reference. It’s an awesome book series.
ST2 so far has been really nice. Some rough moments as expected with a healing title but I feel even more grounded than ST1. Now I want to share some thoughts about DR as a whole.
Im not going to go into details but this past year (11.5 months to be exact) has been the roughest year I have ever had. Some events transpired that caused a lot of my old beliefs to just come crashing down, and acknowledging that a lot of the situations that I am/was in was my fault. A tremendous amount of growth followed this and a lot of changes happened to of the biggest was controlling my poor financial habits, and stopping my binge drinking habit months ago. Proud to say that I haven’t even stepped foot into a bar in months.
Why am I sharing all this? Well I am the type of person that is stubborn and learns the hard way, basically hold habits die hard. DR Red so far has been shedding a lot of my old habits and a lot of the old thought patterns that I had developed over the years. Its basically helping me finally move past all the pain from this past year and solidify all the lessons that I have learned over this past year. Honestly I am just a much happier version of myself as well.
Moving forward I do have plans to also run DR Gold in the future and after reading the sales page for Gold a few times over I think I am going to end up running Gold the longest. To me thought came to me as Gold will help me the most in the long run but for now I need Red the most at this point in time. If that makes any sense to y’all lol.
Also DR Red (and I imagine Gold as well) does genuinely boost results of other subs in a stack at least in my experience.
Personal fan of “too much” did khan st1 with kb1 st1 then with phenix now with new dr red i like the last combo most, 2 subs in stack always back to back.
As for actions that were helpful for me some exercise, contemplation, barefeet grounding in nature+sun, walks in nature, self compassion
More advanced ones gratitude energy into hurt/traumatised parts, some spiritual exercises for healing.
Generally u want to shower the lower vibrational stuff inside you with higher vibrations and that clears the mud out.
Something to look out for is recon and your shadows.
Tho of course its a long process, during recon a lot of my shadows come to surface and take over resulting in some degenerate actions/behaviors…
Which is also why i think khan and dragon reborn are good combo or ran separately , if one attains a lot of power/wealth/influence without healing the shadows and they start running things you end the pathway of ‘Diddy’
Funnily enough, ST1 was what I’d describe as nice, whereas ST2 is quite a different beast, at least for me.
DrRed Stage 1 gave me this constant feeling of being in the calm in the eye of a storm. Perfect for deep introspection, even in the middle of stressful situations. Sure, there were some rough patches of recon here and there, but it was manageable. Ran it solo for the first half of the cycle, and introduced Love Bomb in the second half. Even though I’m on my fifth cycle of Love Bomb, I found it necessary to go even lower with my microloops of DrRed when I added Love Bomb back into the mix. Overall, it felt like a mix of Khan Stage 1 with a Sanguine on Steroids effect, minus the sexuality of Khan. Lots of highly symbolic dreams. Despite the really low productivity(even less than on Khan sometimes), it felt great and I felt like I progressed a lot on it.
But Stage 2 hits like a truck. Before, the worst recon I got was on Khan TB during the first two cycles. With DrRed Stage 2, I am just adding 30 seconds to the single microloop and running it solo, and sometimes, nothing major happens. I can go about my day and there is neither the feeling of heavy processing, nor any overt signs of recon. And then, on some other days, that feeling of heavy processing kicks in shortly after the loop, followed by a feeling of sleepiness the likes of which I haven’t experienced before. Like in the middle of the day, after getting plenty of restful sleep during the night, I just mentally collapse and feel like I urgently need to sleep. Sometimes I wake up with crippling recon. Thankfully it doesn’t take me long to become functional because I can eliminate negative self-talk as it occurs, and the dark cloud simply passes through me. In general, I often feel mentally “done” a good 4-6 hours before I normally do on most days, even when I’m not doing anything mentally taxing. This suggests that a lot of subconscious processing is going on. This sub is very dense and takes up a majority of mental “space”. Just as expected, looking at the ambitious list of objectives.
If I had a stressful job or had to prepare for an exam, it would be really difficult to run DrRed. And oh, the frequent spells of being irritated by everything around me. I’m already doing everything I know to mitigate recon and make processing easier on my mind(lots of walks in nature, drinking 3-4 L of water everyday, 2-3 hours of workouts every second day, a healthy diet and lots of meditation and contemplation. Indulging myself from time to time. Reducing microloops. Extended washouts etc.) and it’s just barely manageable on my end. I recently read that @James intends to run DrRed with Emperor and a third title of some sort. He must have cojones made of some rare metal.
I feel like this is the perfect deep introspection sub for those who can afford to take 3-4 months off and just walk in nature and enjoy the company of horses. Sometimes, I catch myself just enjoying the sight of certain plants or flowers. The way the wind moves them or the way the sun shines on them. @Tobyone Something for you?
