Most of them are “anti-marketing,” stemming from the faulty belief that all marketing is manipulation or coercion. Marketing, in its essence is just connecting a customer to a product they want by showing off the value proposition in a way that creates an emotional resonance. Note, I said resonance, not “response.” Resonation is different in the sense that the emotion is invoked because the individual willingly engages with the advertisement. Here’s a good example:
