This sub is fucking amazing

Me and my current girl have had a rough few days (not really that bad, just needed to have a bit more understanding of each other since we barely been dating for 2 months now), and I swear, every loop of this causes a shift in the relationship for the better, and anytime I do a 5 mins loop, the “perfect date” script becomes dominant, because of which we ended up at the beach today (something I’m not used to doing with a girl, cause Qatar haha) and it’s been nothing but an absolutely blissful day.

We had drinks, played pool, but most importantly, understood more and more about each other on a much deeper level compared to before, and I would even go as far as saying that we have gotten even closer in the last few hours than we were before.

This sub is truly a gem for people in relationships, especially new ones, as not only will it help you set some ground rules for the betterment of the relationship, but also help you both grow the relationship into something deeper and stronger.

I’m having some troubles in my relationship with my wife (The Emperor Within - #85 by TheRock) and considered running Heartsong, as recommended by @Parsifal, to bring our marriage to a new level. But I’m unsure if Primal Romance might be a better fit?

What do you think, @Jouissance and @AlexanderGraves? You both seem to be working through similar issues.

I felt prompted after reading here and clicking through, and maybe I can help.

I had quite a similar experience to ouroboros and AlexanderGraves, although I didn’t journal about it here. The week leading up to the release of Primal Romance/Emperor Daddy was another argumentative one between my wife and I. While there were factors involved (like any marital “discussion”), I’ve figured out a portion of my end of things.

I read on here recently regarding some Emperor scripting; it really makes you hate wasting time. I was not seeing a path forward to my vision of “ideal marriage”; with my wife the way she is, such a union version would not be possible. It was leading me to think my marriage was wasting my time, her time as well. I believe I got this scripting (wasting time) from my listening of E:WTP. I’m willing to be wrong on this one.

I had been listening to Heartsong for a while as well, with the same thought in mind: improve the marriage. While there were some small improvements in our getting along, it usually followed a fight and I would still have the sense (the Knowing) that we are not the best fit for each other. The benefits of HS did not outweigh the drawbacks (on my marriage) for me.

I have found Primal Romance to be the complete opposite and the most effective sub that I have used in regards to healing relationships.

Help individuals release past relationship hurts and fears, enabling them to overcome barriers and embrace new, positive experiences.

That stuff is real and has been most effective in assisting my wife and I.

For the record, we have both been listening to Primal Romance. There is a much higher level of engagement with one another and our attitude towards each other is much more caring.

I would recommend it over Heartsong for working on improving current relationships.

PR is the King, but be ready.

Because, while it opened up A LOT of things in my marriage, it also made me have a tough realization:
I was the narcissist and gaslighter for many years.

This just occurred to me today, probably because she also runs PR, but that opened up a stream of emotions, my God.

I can’t even tell you if our marriage can come back from all this that happened, but even if it doesn’t, we come out better people. And if it does, boy are we ready for a ride.

So, yes. PR to heal. Heartsong is imo more to FIND your soulmate once you figured out your issues.

Lol. Despite being on PR hype train, I didn’t even think of it.
I’m still in “Relationship problems? HS”-mode, because it was so go to for so long.

But yes, I think PR is another solid option.

I don’t know though, if helps better rekindling the flame.

Yes, especially because my wife has been running DRR for a while and is at stage 4 now, and that “rebellious” nature of DRR came forth. She rebelled against my narcissistic control.

Due to me having months of DRR under my belt, plus PR I could see the truth without pushing her away.

A LOT of other stuff happened, so idk if this marriage can’t be saved, but still. We both feel much freer now.

I have a personal concept that I live by, one that helps drive a lot of my conscious inner work: the moment you can admit to yourself that you are flawed in some way, thus bringing it to surface so that you can consciously work on it, you become a hero.

The fact that you can admit this to yourself – and definitely since you can admit publicly, in front of people – makes you a hero in my eyes. Think of it like this, every interaction you have in the future that was linked to this issue will be more positive, and you’ll have more wisdom to help others who dealt with the same thing.

And even more important, a cycle has been broken. You see, Sim- I mean, @AlexanderGraves , it’s the circle of life and it moves us all through despair and hope, through faith and love, until we find our place on the path unwinding… it’s the circle of life.
